I'm going to be honest - I can't even understand the folks who do the part-time version of pup play. Bondage I get but being a dog? And screwing a dog? I absolutely understand that anything can be fetishized and that anyone's fantasy seems insane from the outside - I'm not surprised that there are people who want his but when did it become so damn prevalent? Like it seems to be a major category of S&M.

He doesn't seem to have a hard time falling deeply in love. Leave these two behind and start fresh.

So many comments about a Masters teacher being too harsh. What? What's really harsh is the world of publishing. It's not the work of teachers to give everyone a gold star just for trying.

You now know how this guy behaves during a crisis. Poorly. No one has the right to say those things to you.

Loved it, the comment about men all wishing we had ninja skills: totally true.

And last note in defense of wacky little religions. I couldn't agree more with the statement "I simply don't know how any reasonable person can look at all world religions, living and dead, and come to the conclusion that one particular tribe or prophet or science-fiction writer got it right and every other tribe, prophet, and science-fiction writer got it wrong."

All religions are too nutty to be the one truth faith - but when seen as all of our myriad ways of communicating with the divine two great things happen:

1. You don't need to kill anyone for believing differently.
2. You don't need to look into anyone else's backyard to bring them to the one true faith.

Just wanted to add that in defense of all the sex-positive pagans, Unitarian Universalists, and other folks out there who think religion should inform your own choices and no one elses.

For what it's worth the Antinous cult is still alive - I've been at a few rituals they have presented at an annual pagan conference. Google " Ekklesía Antínoou" and then have lots of fun singing his praises!

Wow... I assumed there would be some criticism of her speaking style in the comments but I didn't expect the vitriol. I do think that at times she might have wanted to slow down a bit but I really enjoyed this podcast because of Cindy's thoughtful take on porn - this is someone who has put a lot of thought into it beyond the surface approach so many take. Maybe she should team up with the much more sedate Violet Blue to balance things a bit. I am trying to think of a more positive word than "sedate" but i just can't. Smoother?

Would love for you to have her on again to talk about porn; I loved that she had an industry take on it rather than the typical moral one.

I'm annoyed that some people think all Wiccans/Pagans are somehow anti-science. I belong to a small Wiccan tradition with three scientists as members one of whom received her PHD in biochemistry from Oxford. You can believe in atoms and protons and also believe in the numinous. It's ok.

Also while many of us believe in beings we refer to as gods we are not going to tell you those gods ever make frogs fall from the sky or destroy all life on earth with a flood then repopulate with just two of every species. No I cannot scientifically prove gods exist and I don't think you will have a life any less fulfilling than mine if you don't believe in them.

But to the topic, Wicca is pretty sex-positive and one of the founders was interested in nudism and BDSM so there are sexually charged rituals that some people perform. The caller will have to ask herself "Am I ok with my BF having a sexual experience with someone else that doesn't involve intercourse?" "Am I ok with my BF being naked around other adults?" "Would it be ok for him to be on a nude beach without me?"

As someone pointed out
