@62 - If there is one thing I wish I had learned about sex in junior high (as a straight girl), it was about how natural vaginal lubricant may not be enough. I spent years feeling inadequate because I wasn't "wet" enough... as soon as I was introduced to the concept of lube, it was a total game-changer. So yes, people under 80 use lube for vaginal intercourse.

Of course, he may not get the same kind of affirmation from looking for play partners outside their marriage that she has. In my experience, it's much easier for a woman to find men for an NSA arrangement than it is for men to find women.

RhetPhD - as a fellow PhD and full-time working mother, I completely get how sex drive can seem lower on the priority scale... but I also know there are ebbs and flows. I was in an ebb for a long time but now am in a flow... I completely respect and support the decisions you've made in your marriage (being quite monogamish myself, though for different reasons), and you are blessed to find fulfilment in so many ways. May you continue to be blessed.
