Poll Finds Most Americans Now Support Having Barack Obama Personally Come and Seize Every Single Gun, Regardless of Design or Caliber, in Wholesale Slaughter of Second Amendment.
Question? It has been many years since I bought a new gun, thus I unfamiliar with current "gun laws".
I recall being required to declare that I suffered no mental illness or something to that effect.
Many returning veterans are being diagnosed with PTSD. Is this a mental illness? I know of two Vietnam era Veterans who receive 100% VA compensation and Social Security Disability for PTSD. These individuals, who do not know each other, are both bible thumping gun nuts. They buy guns and trade guns on a regular basis. Both have concealed carry permits. Both claimed to have been tramautized on the back lines from non combat jobs by the "fear and nearness of it all". Both are NRA members and talk tough about shootin'.
How many people like this do you know? Are these gun packers the ones who will utimately defend and save us in the theaters and shopping malls? Is PTSD a mental illness that could, perhaps should, prevent gun ownership? They sometimes seem a little to eager.

Christian Fundie Upset About Army's Adoption of Yoga.
Athiest Chaplins most likely are bartenders. Most people in the combat arms branches of the military also find wine, woman and song to be a great stress reliever (aka sex, drugs, rock). I also subscribe to the military theory, show me a soldier who doesn't want to fuck and I'll show you one who doesn't want to fight.
Fuck the Fundies. I have found a little Yoga is a benificial addition to anyones fittness program.

Teachers Are "Parasites" and "Terrorists".
What a heroic, brave and gallant person she is. When called upon, she gave it her all. She has that mental gift of disipline under duress. She truly loves those children. She made me, 66 year old charliebickle, cry!

Washington's Most Famous Tracker: Ted Bundy.
Bundy, I and about 33 others were summer interns for the State of Washington. He introduced me to Gov Evans at a picnic lunch on the lawn of the govenors mansion in 1973.
As I recall, interns had a lunch meeting almost every Friday. Bundy always had a lot to say...I thought he was a jerk (most likely I was envious of his speaking and sales ability). I did and still do like Dan Evans, even though he sent a letter recommending Bundy's acceptance at Brigram Young U. school of law. Bundy attended UPS law school at the time. A few months later, I ran into an "old" intern at a party. She clued me that the "TED" we were all looking for was Bundy.
So not only was Bundy a republican, a rapist, a murderer, a liar etc., he was most likely a MORMOM too!

Go Figure: The Private Sector Should Not Inspect Its Own Food-Production Chain.
I am GAP certified. We farm the same as before certification. We spent many expensive man hours documenting our proceedures and writing our policies for the auditor. We spent days attending university sponsored seminars, instructed by PHD,s, concerning food safety and microbial risks. Audits and harvest inspections are also very expensive. We farm with an espirit of quality and food safety.
Food Safety (GAP/GHP) Certification is on most every farmer/orchardist in Washington because many food/fruit brokers are requiring certiication.
STILL, I as the farmer/grower do not receive one cent more for my product. All I receive is the expense of certification and that tinglin' feeling of knowing you are eating some of the most tasty and safest food grown in the world.
Presently, the number and reliability of private inspection companies, and different aspects of farming, fertilization, irrigation, harvesting and storage are being discussed within farmer based organization. The middle men see it as at profitable private industry and there is considerable infighting.
Missing ....is the consumer willing to pay for safe food certification and who do they trust to do this.?
...Less

Retired DEA Heads Tell Obama to Stop Pot Legalization Initiatives.
@42 maybe you have a father-son issue.
Many "pot heads" I have known, are business owners, accountants, engineers, military officers, construction workers, realtors, sales, janitors, teachers, equipment operators ....the list goes on and on.
Attitude and perserverence are more important than whether you smoke pot. Why do you know so many lazy people? I ask again, which came first, laziness or Cheech and Chong?
I have a real life and my butt is sore. I'm ought here!

@35 What came first, lazy people or dope smoking people? I have known a lot of lazy people who didn't or don't smoke dope.
I spent quite a few years as a professional business manager. Drunks are far worse. "Hung over employees are never productive. Give me a stoner and we'll still get the job
done. (I'm not advocating smoking at work....but the night(s) before no big deal.)
Your concept of pot heads just lying on the couch watching TV and consuming Cheetos is something you have learned from TV or Movie Comedies. Reality is calling in sick because of the "Irish Flu" and then lying of the couch. I know, I know.... conservatives don't need facts.
