oh david schmader, your so merciful. i can't say i feel bad for the girl, i'm not sure what i feel. i think it might be forced pity brought on by the fact that i would love to fuck her, but i'm aware of my faults enough to know that if i weren't sexually turned on by her i would have little or no sympathy for her. she seems, under objective consideration, to be vapid and dumb. but if she takes a moral stand and turns down the money, it would actually increase my respect for her as a person. whereas if she cashes in on all this nonsense it would only validate my view of her allowing me to go back to objectifying her. i'm not sure which to hope for. the whole thing makes me feel funny.

is it weird to anyone else that this country keeps changing the design on all its coins? especially coins that shouldn't be minted anymore? the penny was fine when it was lincoln's head on one side and it said ONE CENT on the back, why waste money(heh) changing the coin presses?

also, #11 makes a good point.

can you thank any soldier, like a canadian or an argentinian soldier? should i just go around thanking soldiers that i can read THAT bumper sticker in the language it was written in?

i think the reason you don't like the truck is because the sentiment of the sticker is both nonsensical and alarmist. it reflects a pretty hysterical worldview. not that there isn't plenty of reasons to be thankful for some of the work and sacrifice of soldiers, but the inherently anglocentric/xenophobic approach that this sticker idea implies is annoying, not to mention demeaning to the actual contributions of both teachers and soldiers.

Oct 1 douglas commented on Stupid Fucking Credulous Hack of the Day: It's Bryan Denson Again!.
i have a feeling that denson is just rationalizing his cowardice, and the real blame ought to fall on his editors/employers. the kid wants to keep his job, writes the usual puff about drug war nonsense, knows it's ridiculous, tries to tap dance out of it, fails, end of story. but why would he write something so one sided? why wouldn't he give voice to legalization/decriminalization advocates? probably because his superiors are more concerned with the public image of the paper rather than journalistic integrity, and denson probably knows that, thus all drug coverage must stay in the safe arena of "drugs are bad". although it's satisfying to call out journalists for their bull shit, it seems like a dead end to me.

glenn beck is such a coward. staring into the doe eyes of katie couric he can't stand behind his own fucking words. what a fucking moron.
Sep 19 douglas commented on Savage Love Letter of the Day.
the whole 'deal breaker/negotiation' thing is kinda gross to me. i love to get head, but only if the girl wants to do it. her pleasure in the act is really more important than her skill or technique (up to a point anyway). leveraging someone to give you a blow job through genuine relationship negotiations sounds manipulative and totally unsexy.

@10 apparently not since she won. i guess the ukraine actually does have talent. also, call me shallow, but that girl is hot, and a brilliant artist...

oh come on #25, i assume you drank your mother's milk when you were a baby, right? so why is it gross all of a sudden to eat cheese made from human milk? as long as the source isn't diseased or on drugs it's no big deal.
