This is totally not nearly as important as the police killing Jeanetta Riley, but you might want to read the Fukushima story more carefully. "it's the first time evidence of the nuclear reactor's meltdown across the Pacific has been detected in North America." No, that's not what he said. It's the first time the radiation came over to the shores via the ocean (or something like that). UW and PNNL caught the first whiffs of radiation very soon after the event, which had come over on the wind.
