I'm more concerned that this work is being produced by an 8th grade student.

The last comment makes so little sense to me. If someone becomes pregnant "out of carelessness" and it's problematic to have an abortion ("deal with it this way") - is the alternative of getting pregnant out of carelessness and then HAVING AN UNWANTED BABY any better or more preferable?

I have been telling the theatres that call me, trying to convince me to re-subscribe, this EXACT THING for several years. I've actually been referring them to your article, Brendan. The response is always, "Yeah... we'll look into that..." which frustrates me to no end. How hard could it possibly be? They'd open themselves up to a (very desirable) demographic! I'd subscribe, and ALL MY FRIENDS WITH KIDS WOULD TOO.

@2 - I have met Jay on multiple occasions, and I can say with confidence that he IS a genuinely nice guy. His wife is lovely as well - they are both very down-to-earth and are great at reaching out and connecting with people.

Patty Murray flies coach, or at least she did when I interned for her several years ago.

@1 - it was a "real" bioterror attack that was actually a practice attack that only the president and Ron Butterfield knew about, and you're right that it was tularemia. They also called it the plague, I think, and Wikipedia confirms that it's also known as the Pahvant Valley plague.

The fact that I know this causes me to wonder what important knowledge my West Wing trivia is crowding out in my brain.

I feel like I'm missing something really obvious here - why is the jury not allowed to see the restraints? Do they know that the restraints are there, but they aren't allowed to see them, or is the court hiding the existence of the restraints from the jury? In either case, why?

@6: agreed. Can't you put these behind a jump? They are incredibly upsetting.
