Bikini Baristas Arrested.
Maybe instead of a sex-based coffee shop we could have a violence based coffee shop? One that depicted the type of stuff we see on network television?
Special Victims' Unit Espresso - bring the kids! It's wholesome and socially acceptable!

The IDF and Gaza.
@6 - Exactly. Blare some klaxons, make everybody go underground, and you've got a perfect Two Minutes Hate followed by airstrikes. It's a perfect gift for hawks on both sides.
It's the only attribute of the rockets that could possibly be called "efficacious."

It's cynical, but I'd have an easier time believing the rockets were primary if the rockets caused more casualties.

The rockets seem more like a political tool that *both* governments use to wag their respective dogs with a criminal indifference to primary or retaliatory casualties.

Education Is Everything.
While I was in high school, there was an active discussion on tightening up the dress code or implementing uniforms.
I couldn't understand who a uniform could possibly help. It certainly wouldn't be anything but officious harassment for all us kids in the AP classes, and I certainly couldn't see it changing the habits of my less-accademic friends. As a nerdy, socially awkward kid, my greatest concern was that a uniform would make me a target for abuse in the wider community.
I came to the conclusion that folks in power implement uniforms because they get off on **visual evidence** of their power - much like we see in footage of North Korean pageants.
