The Panic Over Mammograms.
I have a pretty darn big vocab (plus Latin classes in my background) but I had to look up nulliparous. Never having given birth! I like learning new words. Thanks, emma's bee.

My doctor told me I didn't need an annual every year. If you aren't having new sex partners in that year, why would you?

Yeah, I think you've got it, Reverse Polarity. There's the anecdotal case plus our own personal logic: Would I be willing to have an unnecessary biopsy or x-rays if it ruled out the possibility of a problem? Of course. That doesn't mean that statistically speaking it's a good way to spend scarce resources. But most of us want more knowledge about our health rather than less, and it's hard to give that up.

All The Best Men Are Taken.
I don't trust the wording of "interested in pursuing a relationship." If I were told someone met all my ideal requirements and was attached, I might very well say he interested me. That doesn't mean I'm saying I would actively pursue him in the face of a preexisting relationship.

You Look Good Enough to Eat.
If they can ever make vat meat tasty and somewhat sustainable, I will be one happy consumer. I love the taste of meat, and I would eat a much healthier diet if I weren't always using carbs and dairy to replace the meat I avoid on moral grounds.

Don't Fire the Trolls.
"just pointin' out," as I pointed out in my comment, there is no evidence given anywhere that this person was officially on the clock or that the school was a public school (in fact, the existence of a "headmaster" would seem to indicate not). But whatever. Don't let reality stop you from doin' your thing.

Lunchtime Quickie: Mean Old China.
Any small segment of a culture, I should say, unless there's a widespread group of people somewhere who gets their kicks from this eating-alive junk.

By saying "how a foreign culture prepares it's [sic] food" you seemed to be making a statement about that culture, not a few oddballs.
I'm fine with making a judgment call about any culture whose cooking methods (or animal husbandry for that matter) call for deliberate additional pain and suffering. That includes American culture.
