The trouble with KC Metro is that they always want to do "band aid" plans to "fix" the problem. Two years ago KC Metro blackmailed us by threatening to pull heavy-duty routes like the 43 unless they got some money. They got a reprieve for two years by getting an extra $20 fee added to car licensing. During that two years did they do anything to mitigate the problem so they wouldn't come back and threaten the public again about closing or lessening bus service? No, they sat on their asses for two years knowing damn well that the same situation that caused them to blackmail the bus riding public would happen again. KC Metro doesn't want to find a solution to their funding problem and think that the best way to bring the newz media out is to threaten the public so they'll show up in number because of their threat. Perhaps someone other than Kevin Desmond needs to helm Metro so that we can have a sustainable service.

@2: You're on bad drugs if you think that the average person in Seattle makes $70k a year. People who make $70k a year don't ride the bus they ride their Porsche SUV to shop and park their vehicle downtown. Also, most of those $70k people don't live in Seattle. They live on Mercer Island or in Medina.

It's pretty clear that businesses don't give a shit about apostrophes either. Right in our back yard we have Starbucks. By my reckoning it should be either Starbuck's or Starbucks' It's not Tullys coffee it's Tully's coffee. And don't get me started on that coffee shop/bakery "Specialty's" downtown. They don't have a clue about apostrophes or spelling either.

To say that the only good thing about Delaware is to say that because they approved of marriage equality that's it. I bet you've never even been to Delaware. You probably think the only summer place popular with homos is Provincetown and Fire Island. You've probably not even heard of Rehoboth Beach. Before you go spouting off about somewhere learn about it first. Otherwise you make yourself look like an ass.
May 9 Weekilter commented on Seattle Times Tries Charging Its Reporters to Access Their Own Website.
The Seattle Times is a shit newspaper. Before I unsubscribed from their RSS feed I did read their on line content, but 90% of Seattle Times' content is now AP articles. Meh, I'll find Seattle news somewhere else.

What the fuck does the bible have to do with the NBA?

It's not all cut and dried. If you've been following the news the folks in San Francisco are none too happy about Bradley Manning being named a Marshall of their gay pride parade because they feel he put service members at risk including gay service members. While I don't hold to that belief many do.

The Seattle Times is a POS newspaper. 90% of their articles aren't written by Times staffers, but instead are written by the AP. It's partly because the Times is so cheap-assed lazy and partly because the Times has probably sacked all their own reporters. I hit the pay wall for the Times and I'm never going back. There are other better sources for local news.

I wish the slog had more RSS updates than once every fortnight.

The first instance of the expression "lifestyle" I had every clue on what was coming. To say the least I am not surprised.
