Dear Michigan....
I love driving through Michigan because when I stop to eat, I can smoke inside for a change, and there are usually people around who are way fatter than me. Michigan has precious little else going for it, Dan. Please allow them their fatties and cigs.

Lunchtime Quickie.
Why is this fucking video EVERYWHERE? It's greatest achievement is excellent viral marketing. Everything else about it sucks.

Egomaniac Seeks More Attention.
Marc Emery is an embarrassment. The fact that he was born in my home town of London, Ontario and re-located to my current town of Vancouver just makes me more icked out. Pot can be fun, but it's not something to build a culture around. Anyone not stoned who walks through the 420 party at the Vancouver Art Gallery knows that. Sheesh.
If you're going to be a martyr, you should be a martyr for something that matters. Pot doesn't need martyrs. It needs reasoned advocates who can argue their cause without coming off as total... potheads.

Pope Down.
20 - Oh come on. Nazipants is an asshole, and his ideas are primarily archaic and douchy, but I would not call him the most dangerous person in the world by any stretch of reality. I don't think he's even really a Nazi. He's just an old ass-bag from an older era of Catholicism, and he'll probably die soon. While I do think going around doing things like telling Africa not to use condoms is irresponsible and probably going to cost lives, there are lots of people who are way more dangerous than the pope.

56 - On second reading, that sounded a bit impersonal, so I'd like to add: "hey, Kim."

56 - I understand, but I hate it when these things are presented as fact. Atheism may be more likely to be true than your average conjecture, but it's not science. It's an assumption - conjecture. And I think everyone could benefit if we presented our opinions, however likely they are to be true, as opinions. I'm not trying to pick on atheism. It's just that they, unlike religion, do not have X thousand years worth of what they believe to be justified bigotry behind them, and therefore I expect more from them.
Also, though it is a cheesy choice at that particular moment, "So Long, Marianne" is a great song. Chill out, everybody.
