That's funny. I also loved Bougeureau from the time I first saw his work in my mid 20s (a print from the Denver Art Museum hangs on the wall behind me). I toured a fantastic exhibit called "The Birth of Impressionism" at the Frist Art Museum in Nashville, led by a Vanderbilt art historian. She explained that Bougeureau and artists like him were derided by their peers for sticking to the passe style of neo-classicism during this time of wild experimentation, even though he was far more successful than they (monetarily, anyway). He was, she explained, "the Thomas Kincaide of his time".

Ha! I still love my little French girls, though.

If someone did that to me, I would be super pissed, because if they misjudged their leap by just a few inches, they could kick me in the freaking head. What a stupid and reckless thing. The cops weren't endangering the safety of a bystander for kicks; therefore, not the assholes here.

I don't know that I can add much that other women haven't said, but I wanted to point out (in case it's not obvious from other comments) that birth control methods (and girl parts) have a lot of variables and different women can have wildly different experiences with the same method. The only way you are going to know is by trial-and-error, unfortunately. So I would recommend steering clear of anything really long-term (and probably expensive) like an IUD and go for the old stand-by of The Pill. You can experiment with different pills and see which hormones work best for you, and get in the habit of taking them at the same time every day (*very important*) before you are sexually active. They are also available free or cheap, unlike other methods, especially to college students. Do use condoms with new partners, and explore other BC options as you feel moved to, but I would start with the pill.

The Oscar writers said "let's do a show with a tribute to musicals", but everyone in the room was only twenty years old and so all they could think of was Chicago. Be grateful they were too young to remember Romeo + Juliet.

I had some fake chicken wings at a restaurant in Denver that were amazing. They were Gardein brand, which is also sold in stores. However, I tried one of their Lean Cuisine frozen dinners and it was gross. But those "chick'n wings" were delicious and creepily convincing as chicken, so I guess my advice is to look for restaurants with Gardein brands.

Doesn't she know you can't get away with that kind of behavior unless you're Lindsay Lohan?

I moved from Nashville to Denver this year. The difference in political ad saturation is astounding. Interestingly, I registered as independent, but while I've received four door hangers and one canvasser visit from Team Obama, I've had no contact from the Romney campaign, so it seems that Obama's ground game is better. Although it may (probably does) vary by neighborhood and town, and my perception is that Romney has more TV ads (though that may just be because they annoy me more).
