We are systematically demonized, excluded, and mistreated (really outright abused; financially, emotionally, and psychologically).

Yet we pay taxes AS IF we are "real citizens". What kind of "citizen" of a free democracy would ever put up with this shit?

Bullies know that the sissies do not fight back (with anything besides sheets of paper and marches). It's time society's "sissies" use their FISTS (tax dollars). Anything else will be systematically ignored and dismissed.

Mar 26, 2010 Queer Equality Revolution commented on Secretary of State Files Brief in R-71 Supreme Court Case.

Queers are all allowed to fight our own personal battles with the government directly, regardless of how it affects "THE MOVEMENT", esp. when we are struggling to just LIVE our lives and feel excluded and marginalized by the organizations that claim to represent us.

A Rich-Queer may not understand this position, but a Poor-Queer with no money, job, or home and a lifetime of abusive discrimination will understand why a man chains himself to a government building and demands federal accountability, draws his firearm on a I.R.S. agent to prevent any intrusion due to taxation without equality, or burns down a hate organization's church due to their hateful, aggressive targeting of our families and children.

These acts are acts of desperation, for sure, but MANY of us are getting desperate for REAL ACTIONS that produce REAL RESULTS.

As an early-childhood music specialist and music teacher......well.......imagine how ads like that one resonate.

ALL TEACHERS put their heart and souls (and ridiculous amounts of time and often their own money) into working effectively with this age-group; it's not just punching in - it is nurturing, love, child care, social work, and education, etc.....

But the LGBTQ teachers of America feel an extra nasty sting when we are assaulted with these sick sick ads.

Let's be perfectly clear, since I'm getting REALLY tired of people failing to connect-the-dots and take responsibility for the harm they inflict on our families and children.

In November, voters will decide if they want HURT our families and STEAL our due money by taking away:

* Death benefits for the partners of police and firefighters killed in the line of duty.
* Pension benefits for the partners of teachers and other public employees.
* Victims’ rights, including the right to receive notifications and benefits allowances.
* The right to use sick leave to care for a seriously ill partner.
* The right to workers’ compensation benefits if a partner is killed in the course of
* The right to receive unemployment benefits if an employee must leave a job to care
for a seriously ill partner.

Cruel suffering brought to our families, financial losses that should be called THEFT, and we're supposed to "hope" everyone likes us and APPROVES? When our own government REFUSES to protect us and FAILS to offer equal protection and rights - we are left totally alone.

This voting on rights needs to stop NOW. It is immoral.

Why is the entire country oblivious to the cruelty and inhumanity of having a family's constitutionally-guaranteed EQUAL RIGHTS placed on a state ballot?

People may criticize me for aggressively wanting to self-defend and "confront" those who vote to HURT my family, but they must be oblivious to what is at stake, or the pain and suffering that result when rights are not in place.
WE WILL HAVE A PROBLEM if America continues to think that my RIGHT to see my dying partner in a hospital equates with a vote on:

Tax limits
Estate taxes
Car tabs
Gas tax
Performance audits
Property tax limits
Transportation funding

Having my family and children's safety and security decided by a public vote is reason enough to bear arms and confront those who think they can bully and harm my family at the ballot box without serious repercussions. If the LGBT community were doing the same to their families I would expect a similar response....but guess what?

We do no harm.

We didn't start this war, but some of us WILL resort to defending ourselves, especially since government refuses to protect us while it empowers the religious bullies and haters by allowing these ballot measures.

Thank you ELI for the reminder of Micah; I lived blocks away from where he was assaulted in 2004. The ugliness of hate crimes and "legal" discrimination speaks for itself.

How much longer are we going to allow society to VOTE on our due rights? Don't we believe we are more than animals or slaves that are submissive to the "powers that be"?

Oct 11, 2009 Queer Equality Revolution commented on HRC: Obama's Step 'n Felchits.
Fuck spending one penny for a "chance" at a constitutional right to equal protection.

Gee, maybe this moment really WILL be the "tipping point", as more people in our community wake up and decide that working within the box only keeps you trapped inside of that box.

Anyone ready for a revolution in thought? We're entitled constitutionally RIGHT NOW, and it's not OUR problem that at least 20% of our country is uneducated and bigoted.

We need to ask ourselves - If groups on the FAR right go ape-sh*t crazy and start attacking us en masse because we suddenly become full citizens in civil law, will our President send out the National Guard to protect us from these religious terrorists? Are we ready to protect ourselves?

Go watch CAPITALISM - A LOVE STORY, and note that seemingly nice man who was 2 seconds away from admitting he's ready to go and take out some people. Why? I guess when you lose everything you've owned and worked for in your lifetime due to corporations (or government in my case), along with your ability to work in any capacity, after considering a TAX REVOLT, there is only one last, very desperate choice. Violence - as a last resort; as self-defense (hopefully only against the property of the institutions that were attacking). And I fear more and more LGBTQ Americans will "get" to this point as discrimination ends their lives as they know it.

These religious terrorists better stay the hell away from our families, or else we have every right to begin to "confront" them, their church buildings, and the government that enables them to harm us at the ballot box. The middle class and rich gays can continue playing house. The poor gays (who often end up suffering more) will be the ones risking their lives in the streets; they have absolutely nothing to lose at this point. I'm so "there" already.
Oct 7, 2009 Queer Equality Revolution commented on Poll: R-71 Has Narrow Lead, I-1033 Passing.
In WA state they want to continue treating LGBT families as SUB-human - SUB-American. Gary Randall and Larry Stickney are behind this crime, with Stephen Pidgeon defecating on civil law and justice itself. Meanwhile, our "representatives" are all hiding; everyone from the Governor on down the list . . .

So if Referendum 71 is REJECTED in November, I seriously doubt that every single young Queer in Washington State will be fighting back against the Christian Right Terrorists and Bullies by signing more referendums and making more donations next year, and the year after, and the year after, and the year after, and the year after, and the.......

Make no mistake - Those "christians" who threaten and intimidate us with Referendum 71 are the BULLIES. We have a right to defend ourselves and our precious family and children, esp. when it is PAINFULLY OBVIOUS that our own government has no problem CROSSING THE LINE and putting up white sheets to hide those who want to harm us. Government also wants to continue this incremental state-by-state, right-by-right BULLSHIT for decades and decades and decades and decades and ............

When we are prevented from having a FAIR FIGHT, it almost demands that it's time to resort to some "OLD SCHOOL" justice. I HAVE HAD IT WITH PUBLIC VOTES ON MY DUE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!

Oct 2, 2009 Queer Equality Revolution commented on Last-Minute Flood of Money to Reject R-71?.
@13 - Simple. A Tax Revolt for starters. And we must enjoy paying the bullies for rights since we think that our due rights are things to be VOTED upon in America, with fundraisers and all. If you are gay, this is what you are accepting for the next 25-30 years in America; religious terrorism - government approved.

And yes, I guess I do have this vast power and control over all things political in WA State. (lol)
But the TRO and secrecy for anti-equality activists is due to Stephen Pidgeon being a total wimp and crying because he cannot understand how REJECTING REF-71 is an attack on OUR family, and when you ATTACK a familym that family gets to FIGHT BACK. Hard.
Oct 2, 2009 Queer Equality Revolution commented on Last-Minute Flood of Money to Reject R-71?.
* Why is NO ONE able to defend Washington State's LGBT taxpayers from this abuse?

* Why are our "representatives" allowing these votes?

* What last resorts do we have to protect our family FROM government and church abuse?
(because we have HAD IT with petitions, donations, and begging)

* PROP 8 was the LAST STRAW - Keep your hateful "beliefs" to yourselves where they belong,
and keep them the hell away from civil law.

If REF-71 is rejected, gays will either go back to "fighting" for equal rights with petitions and donations as passive, effete whiners, or ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE. Let's hope for the latter.
