commented on Sarah Palin Serves Up Thirty Solid Minutes of Word Salad at Iowa Republican Candidate Summit
The thing that really gets me about Palin is how downright mean she is. And not mean towards politicians. Putting up with assholes and their criticism is part of that job. Palin says incredibly mean stuff about anyone who doesn't live in the privilege bubble that goes along with being well-off and white. Her whole career as a national figure is based on dissing the down-and-out and other people who don't have the privilege of being well-off and white.

@6: Yes, because witnesses not showing up for depositions definitely means that they chose to no-show themselves and weren't pressured by their famous and (relatively) well-off acquaintance/relation. That's iron-clad logic you're employing there.
I only wish I had you as a professor in law school instead of the life-long legal professionals I was stuck with to teach me about depositions. Then I might have some kind of clue about what the definition of that word has to do with my comment or your feeble attempt at a smack down response.

Sounds like you dislike Zappa fans more than Zappa himself.
Sheik Yerbouti and Overnite Sensation are both excellent straight-up (if out-there) rock albums. Joe's Garage is also great, even if it is a "musical." Not to mention all the great jazz rock albums. There's a lot of great 70s Zappa out there.
