commented on 'Glee'
Hmm. I never saw Glee as a show about gay kids. I saw it as a show about a bunch of kids who sing, and one of them is gay. And, yes, they sing great. Which is good, because if I want to see a bunch of people singing off key on television, I'll watch American Idol.
It's a TV show. If you're a TV critic, how is it that you have never noticed that all TV shows have that suspension of disbelief quality to them. Real life problems that most families or people struggle with are solved in a half hour. On cop shows, they catch the bad guy before he kills again. On the rom coms, the awkward, but sweet guy gets the hot chick. And on Glee, the gay kid gets a little justice, the kind he doesn't always find in the real world.
It's to be taken as light entertainment, on those evenings when you're too drained to pick up a book. That's all.
If you really have a problem with people taking Glee seriously, you're problem isn't with Glee. You're problem is with the people.

commented on SL Letter of the Day: Women Can Be Weiners
If my husband was always checking my phone history, and hacking into my Facebook, I'd deliberately leave a fake affair trail in it to make him nuts. Sounds like he's been like this from the beginning of their marriage.

commented on Weiner: It's the Stupidity, Stupid
From a column in my local paper this morning:
"I apologize to women everywhere who have to be totally fed up with men who haven't got a lick of sense, yet occupy positons of authority while they (the women) continue to get the short end of the ... stick."
I don't care about his morality or his integrity. I just think he's a idiot.
But seriously, why are we still talking about this?

I think she's been GGG - although I don't really think this falls into the same category as accepting your partner's kink fetish - and she's certainly been there for him "in sickness and in health" so for goodness sake, don't throw that up in her face.
This is not a sex act anymore. This is not sex. This is a woman, sitting on a man's face while he licks her. There will be no loving caresses, no writhing, arching bodies, just her sitting on the face of an incapacitated man. It depresses her, and she doesn't want to do it.
And I can't blame her. No one can.

Dan is right, because all that other stuff aside, why does she feel the need to torture the LW with all the stories about all the other men who want to sleep with her, and then rub it in his face when she goes out with them? Because she's a bitch. In any culture.
