Nov 20 Rhett Oracle commented on Pit Bulls!.
I suppose the Founding Fathers - often cited by fortune tellers, necromancers and charlatans for possessing the wisdom to know what would work for us in the 21st century - should have included the right of pit bulls to maul bare arms, to eat the faces of defenseless old women and children and to tear the ass out of the occasional chihuahua. But they didn't. Why is that? (rhet.?)
Nov 20 Rhett Oracle commented on Teabaggers Turn On Palin.
This crowd is Red State pathetic....retail money spent on a unreadable book almost entirely available on line, hours taken off from work/school with 100s of others seemingly with the mindset of Ed Grimley (Martin Short) as he contemplates his appearance on "Wheel of Fortune"... Maybe Sarah will wink at me....

Nov 19 Rhett Oracle commented on I Hate You, Garrison Keillor.
Hmmm. Garrison Keillor vs. Ayn Rand. "Don't hate us because we have written circles around you..." Christ - I hope someone doesn't post something from Robert Frost (senile, crusty, misanthropic white guy) or Joyce Carol Oates (Gothically complex) or Gore Vidal (sour old queen) or Tennessee Williams (drunken old queen) or Will and Ariel Durant (pedantically boring) or Stephen King (unabashedly Johnny-one-note). Garrison states that at 67 he doesn't care what you think? Looks like a clue to me.
Nov 19 Rhett Oracle commented on Chemicals in Plastics Turn Boys Into Sissies.
I think that the more studies like this one are made the better we will be able to address this [sic] problems and probably be able to prevent them in future generations.

Like what, LC? - chemical castrations, Hitlerian genetic modifications - or less likely, plastic and bigot banishment?
Nov 19 Rhett Oracle commented on Something Has To Be Done....
Brad - finally on the cover of "In Touch" - he now follows these gents - none of whom appear to have gray petrified spaghetti growing from they chin:

Nov 18 Rhett Oracle commented on Last Night's Colbert Report.
Is there a law against shouting "fire!" in an empty theatre? That's how it must feel for Trollette who thinks that her ignorant intolerance for sexual reality and misguided, uncharitable Christianity is going to convince anyone to jump the fence where she fulminates and stirs a steaming heap of cowshit, hoping to convert the inconvertible. Go home, honey and preach to some other choir - not the deaf one you're raggin' on here.

Nov 17 Rhett Oracle commented on Slog Somehow Overlooked....
So you're going to raise bubble children then....?
Nov 17 Rhett Oracle commented on Levi Johnston's Right Armpit.
Since "Playgirl" has some semblance of straight appeal, how can they avoid the obvious headline: "JOHNSTON'S JOHNSON"? Speaking of etymology, how did "Johnson" become a euphemism for 'penis'?

Re Levi's semi-tell-all and other Palin tell-alls to come: Mae West said: "When you're young keep a diary; when you're old, it'll keep you."
Nov 13 Rhett Oracle commented on SL Letter of the Day: My Son Likes Stickpussy.
@20 - You can brainwash a str8 guy into being gay about as easily as you can brainwash Carrie Precum into being an intellectual giant. You can't.

As far as your idiotic declarative: How can a man be a real man, str8 and like penis? - you've never met some of the frat boiz, merchant mariners and US Marines I have.

Try to remain within the boundaries of your expertise: intolerant, uninformed dumbassery.
Nov 12 Rhett Oracle commented on " I know ya'lls pain, believe me I shed plenty of tears behind Carlos. Carlos was my friend. I didn't murder him.".
How does anyone keep a "last meal" down knowing that in a few minutes you're going to have your brain sautéed? As a child during the Pleistocene Period, I used to read accounts of 'last suppers' for the condemned and actually felt some sort of envy that they could have all of that good food when my family couldn't afford T-bone steaks or pork chops.

Yes, the efficacy of capitol punishment is elusive and is hardly a deterrent to committing capitol crimes. As has been pointed out: in 18th century England, one could be hanged for pickpocketing; and yet at the hangings of these 'criminals', pickpockets worked the crowd. And so it goes....
