Cascade Land Conservancy has a program to do exactly what this article proposes - the Cascade Agenda Cities program. The "Cities" program has an advocacy arm (in addition to other arms that work with City/Regional leaders and local planners) called the "Community Stewards" program that recruits, trains and organizes people to push the new urbanist agenda all across our region. Very cool stuff.

You forgot the Cascade Chapter of the Sierra Club as one of the huge winners! McGinn and O'Brien are former Board chairs and long time volunteer leaders for the Cascade Chapter, and their entire Seattle Slate (which very closely mirrors the Stranger's slate) - except Vekich - all won.

Mr Baker (and Ralph), you should be pretty scared after a SurveyUSA poll (the same folks that have consistently under-represented McGinn's support) shows Mallahan with only a 2% lead and over 75% of the undecideds going to McGinn over the last two weeks. Also, the crosstabs of this poll (see question 4) show that it over-represented Mallahan supporters, even more reason for you to be worried.
Bold prediction: McGinn 53%, Mallahan 46%, 1% other

Don't forget the most important number that many of are hoping for after election day: McGinn 54%, Mallahan 45%, 1% everyone else.
