I, Anonymous.
I could write a book about all of the experiences I've had with my awful in laws (and have enough left over for a monthly magazine lol) but I still write them thank you notes if they send gifts. You and your husband need to grow up and show some fucking class!

Gallagher Is a Paranoid, Right-Wing, Watermelon-Smashing Maniac.
Oh Lindy, I love your articles. It's too bad that you had to suffer the fucking hack that is Gallagher, in order to write about it. Also, thank you for acknowledging bill hicks.. i believe at one point bill hicks actually talked about what a no-talent ass clown gallagher was - along w/carrot top- and it is very, very sad that his words are hauntingly true in this case: "good men die every day, while talentless hacks thrive and proliferate"

What Are You Doing Right Now?.
What this particular version of the story is missing is the fact that this woman sent something like 74 tweets out that day. Maybe if she weren't wasting an entire day on twitter, she would have monitored her children a little better.
Now, with that said, it is heartless and cruel to rip this woman a new one so soon. Even though she's a dingbat, she did loose a child - which is the worst feeling ever. Not only that, but I'm sure she's dealing with her own guilt for being so neglectful. This woman and her family deserves space and privacy while dealing with this tragedy. In the meantime, the cops need to investigate the whole story.

All The Best Men Are Taken.
it may not represent all women, but college aged women are the broads you gotta watch out for. do you really think your bored husband is going to go after someone his own age? no. he's going to go for the slutty college girls at the local bar and the second they see his wedding ring, it's on.

You Can't Criticize If You Don't Get Involved, Part 36,798.
And this is how it starts. Prop 8 failed in california because political groups who opposed it, didn't take enough time to organize events properly. They spent the bulk of their time emailing people (donors on their lists) and at the last minute asked for millions in donations for ad campaigns. No wonder we lost! If they had organized huge protests - like the one in L.A in February of 2003, protesting the Iraq war- more people would have been exposed. (That protest made the front page of the L.A times because they had over 300,000 people in the streets)
What groups in WA need to do, is learn from the mistakes of California. Organize more marches, talk to the would-be biggots of your community to change their mind! There's no sense in standing around talking poetry with a bunch of your friends! Get in the face of those who oppose you and you'll have a better shot at winning.

"Legalization is not in the president's vocabulary, and it's not in mine.".
Well of course they're not talking about legalization on a federal level. That's going to take at least 20 years.
Right now, the medical marijuana community in California is setting a sales tax at the collectives. Not only that, but medical growing operations are subjected to numerous taxes as well. The government is working on a "show me the money" basis. Once they see the bottom line, they'll be motivated to legalize across the board. But, make no mistake, this is going to be a long fight for those who are pushing for legalization just in California alone.
