Figuring out what tax to collect is not a hard problem to solve, though dispersing it to out of Washington State governments might be somewhat difficult a database of addresses is also a stupid simple tool to produce..

And it doesn't have to extend to just gay couples. I see no reason why straight couples and queers in hetero couples couldn't send out engagements which say "as soon as marriage equality is passed in our state or nation" as their date to express solidarity.

I think that the article is really about latent xenophobia. Koreans want Westerners to teach them English, but don't like Westerners living in Korea. The first 'solution' will be teleconferencing (because folks learn so well when their teacher isn't there and has a second lag) followed closely by robots. Sounds keen if you're a Korean who wants Westerners to leave your country.
