In all fairness, Latrice's looks (especially the couture look) were a little unpolished last night. But there's no denying that she was the greatest lipsyncer EVER on that show (her background is at the Palace after all). Even though Phi Phi clearly doesn't understand realness, her looks were polished enough to plausibly get her through to the final three. I just finished Ian Donaldson's bio of Ben Jonson this weekend and had been thinking of Henri's assassination when you said, "Paris is work a mass; your vagina is worth 5 minutes of cuddling." Indeed. As a native of Ohio's 2nd I can tell you that Schmidt was loved by neither Republican nor Democrats. In fact, she provided for some of the narrowest Republican victories our district has ever seen. Of course, now that she's been replaced by Brad Wenstrup, the district will be safely Republican once again: just another vote against any idea from President Obama and against women being in control of their bodies from a right-wing gun nut. In that regard, the defeat of Jean Schmidt is bittersweet.

My boyfriend is a building superintendent and about a year ago, while sorting the trash at one of his building in the Upper West Side, he discovered a treasure trove of antique gay porn, including several circa 1980 drummers. The magazines are now our most treasured conversation piece. I have to say, the personals are the most fun thing to read. I've never actually called any of the numbers in that section, but we did call a phone sex line that is still running strong and has even modernized (I got a few too many unsolicited sext messages after I called). Yay for gay-owned businesses!
