Meanwhile in Vancouver.
Pitbulls, bag fees, fatties, PC v. Mac, shootings involving black people, Loveschild bait = 40+ comments. So simple, so easy. I assume The Stranger staff is 10 steps ahead and uses these like guest stars during sweeps?

Unreal Americans.
The post-Reagan United States public education system, ladies and gentlemen. Let's give them a big round of applause.

Electric FAIL.
I can't imagine those "people walking in the mall" aren't all Microsoft employees themselves... This is too terrible. It reminds of some mandatory high school spirit week line dance assembly. Terrible. The customers on the sidelines are like... "Fuck this. I'm going to Apple."

More on the Black China Girl, Lou Jing.
.... SOME would say.... please. Asians, and Chinese in particular, are some of the most intensely racist people on the planet. Hopefully her presence on the pop-culture scene helps them progress a bit.

Levi Johnston's Right Armpit.
How does Levi not fit perfectly into the "cub" category? "Twunk" is stupid. He's a cub! He's only 19 -- chest hair thickens well into guys' 20s.
And he'll be a registered Dem before the mid-terms.

Only 46 Days Left in the Decade.
Some of those are clever, but when all is said and done, this decade will be referred to as 'the Bush years'. That is all that will need to be said.

Carrie Prejean Knows From Inappropriate.
There's a US congressional district in exurban Sacramento, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, etc. with her name on it in a few years a la Michelle Bachmann's MN 6th. Sorry to say...

Lou Dobbs Leaving CNN.
I'm with 16. CNN needs to follow a sort of News Hour with Jim Lehrer model, as 24 hour cable news. An academic, in-depth, unhysterical, attitude-free coverage. And there needs to be a formality brought back to news anchoring not seen since the 80s. In substance and tone I'm thinking more Zakaria and Amanpour, and MUCH less Blitzer and the rest of those "hey guys, so here's what's up..." day anchors.
