Ack, I'd go insane. LW, run out the door and find better. You deserve better than that for the rest of your life.

Stack ranking is horseshit. You get rid of the bad employees initially and then if you want to keep stack ranking you have to start cutting the good employees that are left and sacrificing institutional knowledge for no justifiable reason.

Articles like this (generally backed up by the people I've talked to) are the reason I ignore their headhunters. I really like working hard and doing interesting things, but I also greatly enjoy being treated like a human.

@2: Sure, the KIRO title is badly written since it implies that each taxpayer would pay that cost individually, vs correctly stating that it's a cost to the city and divvied up amongst us all. There are way way better points to take a stand upon.

This is the same infowars conspiracy bullshit he was peddling a year ago. Doesn't make it any more true now.

Please don't get suckered into the Alex Jones / infowars tinfoil madness.

@16: Being a white guy who was beaten and pepper-sprayed in Seattle during Mardi Gras while walking away from cops - who literally did not say a word before smashing the guy next to me with that same billy club as we sat there talking doing nothing on a park bench, directly leading me to getting up and trying to walk away swiftly since it seemed they didn't want us there - it's pretty easy for me to buy into that. The narrative may be "... a few bad apples here and there...", but those bad apples are changing peoples lives forever.

I should point out that "not a lemming" doesn't mean what he thinks it means:

I'd suggest he stops believing what other people tell him about lemmings and maybe get to know some lemmings himself before rushing off a cliff in judgment.

I appreciate any partner who is up front about what they will and won't do. If this encourages other people to also be up front about their own no-go's in relationships - and lets their partners respond appropriately early on - that seems excellent.

... I didn't know what to expect going in, and admit that I was secretly hoping that this was a backdoor adaption of Y: The Last Man. Sadly, not at all. It does seem pretty good so far: I'll likely check back in when the season's done and enjoy it then.

@2: I think he also realizes that the team is going to use the rest of the money to put excellent people around him, and that a nice OL or WR signing could swing a couple games. For example, if they had kept Golden Tate this past year.... :\

... now I want a Yo! MTV Raps archive. I would also accept an archive of NastyNess's Sunday night megamixes from KNHC (if I recall correctly: I was young but they were amazing).

There was a project a while ago to digitize a ton of the old 80s cassette and vinyl only hip hop/rap releases: god bless those crazy people. Wish I had the URL.
