Bobby Sherman might have set teen girls a flutter, but his version of this song sucks compared to the original:

@5 Back in the 70s we called bongs "waterpipes."

@David Schmader ~ And at the far south end of Beacon Hill is the best kept secret: Kubota Garden.

@David Schmader~ It's not a trendy new restaurant, just a family-owned Mexican called "La Cabana" just north of the light rail station at 2532 Beacon Avenue South. I've been going there since the 1970s. Not everything is great, but try the #16 Pork Burritos and you'll be back. Welcome to the neighborhood!

@27

I agree; this might cost Murray as many votes as it helps him get. Not only shady, but probably dumb also.

It is disturbing that such friends of Ed Murray are circumventing campaign finance rules -- like local Karl Roves. Shame on them, and shame on Senator Murray if he allows it.

The purpose of banning fundraising during sessions of the State Legislature is so that monied interests with pending legislation neither can make contributions nor can be "encouraged" (shaken down) to do so to help pass their legislation.

The purpose of the local $700 contribution limit is to keep a few deep pockets from buying an election; instead successful campaigns need to get many contributors. It is harder this way, but cleaner.

If Ed Murray believes in clean campaign finance rules, he should publicly denounce this "independent" effort and privately ask his supports NOT to support it.

Otherwise, he is unfit to be our Mayor.

Brad Owen is even less of a Democrat than Rodney Tom and Tim Sheldon.

But I like that you are calling out the Senate Democratic Leader, Ed Murray (MIA), to actually lead.

I bought my MFLB on ebay two months ago (new in-the-box, with four batteries and a charger), for $78 total -- not $120-150.

Quite functional without breaking the bank. But the extra batteries come in handy.
