Parking around transit may encourage people to drive? Bullshit. You know what encourages people to drive? Not being able to get to transit. Here's the thing, I live about 1 mile from light rail. I'm not freaking walking there and back in the rain. The alternative is 3 bus transfers and an extra hour each way to my commute. No thanks. So, instead of driving my car 1 little mile each way a day to park and ride, I drive it 15 miles each way over lake WA, clogging the freeways. ST and the Blethens may not be right on most things, but like a broken clock, they are sometimes right twice a day. On this one, they're right.

i can understand the "limited edition" one costing that much, but if the "standard" one costs that much, fuh-get-it. Just buy a Super OEM based one like Pioneer PLX-1000 which has some good reviews. Or do what I did, just buy a used SL-1200 for $350.

Che should have watched the Chris Rock video: How Not To Get Your Ass Kicked By The Police

My solution is much simpler. I didn't have kids. Yay guns!

When some in the community back a convicted rapist, robber, who had a loaded .45 and dealing hard drugs, who certainly didn't appear to have his hands up in the video, it really makes the whole BLM or anti cop movement look bad. Yeah having a record isn't a license to be killed, but having a fucking .45 auto at hand when the cops go to arrest you is! Sorry, gotta back SPD on this one, good job. Although I do have to fault them for really shitty police tactics, they should have done a "felony stop", for their own protection. Had the guy actually had time to use his .45, cops could have been shot easily.

" four counts of first-degree robbery, first-degree rape, unlawful possession of a firearm, a drug offense, and two counts of second-degree assault" yet deeply beloved? Maybe it's time to reconsider what kind of person you. The community's beloved rapist and robber. Salt of the Earth. Does he deserve to be shot because of that? Of course not. If he was reaching for a gun he deserved to get shot though.

@5 exactly right. The cops are guilty of stupid tactics, which mostly endangered themselves had it been a real gun. I'm sorry, when it someone going to stand up and say though, pulling an object on a cop that looks identical is an F'ing stupid thing to do and any kid should know better. Any parent should know better. I'm with the BLM movement on the cases that are legit. There are plenty of them where blacks have been shot in the back. This case, tragic as it is, isn't a good case to hitch your political wagon to. The cops should be fired for rolling up on a gun suspect like cowboys instead of parking, approaching behind cover and then deal with the suspect. They're bad cops tactically. But the grand jury is absolutely right. I have a hard time believing the kid wouldn't have gotten shot if he were white too, but we'll never know.

That'd explain why Joel Radin won't comment. Doesn't want to publicly say I made some bad bets and gabled my business down the tubes.

Word on the street is Joel Radin had committed too much money to expand and was counting on foreign investors who then abruptly pulled out. Apparently bankrupting him in the process. Why someone would bet their whole business on foreign investors is baffling but then again people take risks all the time in business. Hopefully the name can be sold to someone who knows who to run a business prudently and perhaps resurrect Bauhaus.
Dec 3, 2015 hifiandrew commented on Amid Contract Negotiations, Seattle Police Union Claims It's "Under Attack" by Black Lives Matter Activists.
This is why elections matter. I voted McGinn. The unions only have as much power as elected officials give them. I support collective bargaining but the key word is bargain. As in negotiate. Not dictate. As in the unions don't get everything they want. SPOG gives other public unions a bad name. I hope when and if they negotiate a new contract that shields SPD from accountability, voters remember that at the next mayoral election.
