What happens if a large truck hits one of those sinking "bents"? Will it hold as well as the I-5 bridge did when a truck hit it causing it to crumble into the chilly waters of the Skagit River (2013)?

Murray is acting like a not-in-control alcoholic. How often is he drinking on the job?

Good thing he's paying his staff so much. What was that about paying for top notch professionals for Murray's office? I'm super glad City Council added so much money to the Mayor's budget after Murray won the election last November.

I'm annoyed that the fine is so small as well. Hardly going to discourage them from cheating in the future.

I think it's pretty crummy that the Chamber and Murray are willing to hurt small downtown businesses for their own purely political gain. They are actively trying to make people too scared to come downtown to shop or eat out. I hope people are smart enough to see through these selfish tactics, and I don't like that Murray is so easily willing to blatantly throw people trying to earn a living under the bus to get ahead in his political career.

And let we forget, they endorsed George Bush over Al Gore. Here's the Seattle Times explaining why Bush was the superior candidate, "... But in the end, this was not a decision based on offices held or promises made, it was about the qualities Americans need and deserve in those who hold public trust. This endorsement is founded on two bedrock differences between Bush and Vice President Al Gore:

Integrity and civility
The thread that binds last year's early endorsement of Bill Bradley for president to today's endorsement of George W. Bush is ethical behavior, as a candidate and as an opponent...

Taxes and trade
While the economy under the Clinton-Gore administration has been spectacular,..."

@60 Yep Murray is definitely promising to go along just to get along. That seems to be his elevator speech. It sure works for the Establishment/Chamber types who want to take back City Hall. And it works in Olympia; just look at what they accomplished this year.
