How about a sweet accessory that she is into. If she's a handbag or shoe or necklace type of lady, an image of one of those that she likes or that holds a good memory for her makes a cute tattoo-memento.

commented on Seattle Cop Punch Goes Worldwide
This is what happens when parents fail (or don't care to succeed). Society is left to pick up the slack.
I feel bad for the girls' level of stupidity (seriously, where are they going to go in life with that attitude and behavior, how messed up is their self-esteem and are their goals in life that this is how they act). Maybe, hopefully, they will learn and grow from this incident. I doubt it though, our criminal justice system is not so good at emotional rehabilitation.

commented on Jaywalking Is Not a Crime
Only stiff penalties affect behavior.
Either the $45 jaywalking infraction needs to increase enough to effectively deter jaywalking, or car operators need to be penalized to effectively deter their poor behavior. I vote for the latter. But then I'd also vote for one DUI = lost licence forever or for a long time (10 years?) and also losing the privilege of registering a vehicle for driving on the road. Owning a vehicle, say for a collector, would be ok, just not getting current registration.

commented on Chihuly Comments: Hipster Mustaches Drinking PBR While Riding Fixies vs. "the Tchotkes of a One Eyed Loon"
All Chihuly and the Wrights have to do to instantly, and forever, make themselves look really, really good is choose a site and make the same contribution to the city that they're offering now. Wide sidewalks, arty playground, cafe space, etc. What an homage to Chihuly art and philanthropy that would be - if not asking to be done on public property that has gone through a public process and been decided to be green space. They could keep the profit from their for-profit business, and do something really good at the same time - something Seattle residents would appreciate as well as tourists who pay the admission. That's how to win over people.
It doesn't seem like winning over Seattle residents is part of their goal, however. Typical overinflated ego crap to be expected from a celebrity (even a glass-director celebrity).

I'm not going to gamble that the 'I wasn't reading, I was using the MP3 player/calling 911' excuse won't still get you a the cell phone ticket with the invitation to prove your cell use activity in court to have the ticket/fine dropped. Or a Neg. driving ticket. You can though, let us know how that turns out.
