May 9 ROAG commented on The Big Trees of San Francisco.
Nasty, stinky, invasive. They destroy the ground around them for other plants (think oak trees and poppies). They are crazy flammable (think Oakland firestorm) and their lumber is worthless. Yuck. That tree should be shot.

I'd pay a tax to give goldy more money. This guy's a champion for our children and our city. Be glad we have him!

Remember, Taft would ban all dogs if she could. Pit bulls are the most visible issue for her, but she basically has a manic dog phobia. Ask any animal control officer about her incessant phone calls. This is not a woman who can participate in a rational discussion. Literally.

Nov 14, 2011 ROAG commented on Student Randomly Beaten Outside High School.
I was there when this happened and ran over when I heard screaming. I think the assault had an element of sport too it; an opportunity to beat up some white alternative school kids, who were no match for the big kids I watched running away. The (adorable) boy who was beaten seemed awfully shook up and had a big split on his brow. My little kids saw most of the aftermath and are now afraid of miller field, previously their favorite place on earth. The racial element here is undeniable and very troubling. I always thought of miller as a place for everyone.
