I grew up on a prep school campus (whattup, EXETER PRIDE!) and between my brothers and me...well, nothing was ever said about the personal computer. My parents were both teachers. It was all good. Worked out for us, especially -- though, like all teenagers, we worked to make sure our parents couldn't find a trace of anything either.

Why is this all HIS fault? It sounds to me that the only mistake he made was marrying someone not smart enough for him, and yeah, while that's a big one, he might reasonably expect her to 'play smart' because that's what he needs. Of course, ultimately, one cannot play that game very long, and that's where their communication problems come in.
I bet she's over-reacting. I bet he gets frustrated with her because he's wicked smart and she's not, and that's why he gets angry and withdraws. She should dump him, if he's unlikely to dump her, at least to set him free.

Dan, I wish you would tell us, the straight allies, how to help, too. Other than the fact that my little apartment family (a straight guy, a gay guy, and me - a straight girl) bends the gender rules to the extreme and welcome anyone for who they are. But how do I help? How do I say, we're in Cambridge which is possibly one of the best places to be gay in the USA, but we still want to fight for equality? Sometimes it's hard just to figure out what's best to do.

I'm kinda disappointed they didn't put better/more pictures up. For anyone that's not been to Cambridge, the Porter T station is waaaay underground, and the longest escalator ever is decorated by bronze gloves and mittens that look as though they've been dropped along the way. There's also piles of these gloves and mittens around the rest of the station. It's really cool.

I've had a similar problem, except that there's that much squirting every single time I have sex (well, assuming it's good sex, anyway). I made the decision long ago that my bed is for sleeping. I have 2 yoga mats that I can roll out if need be -- but for the most part, it's more fun when you aren't confined to your bed, anyway. It forces the guy to get more creative. You learn new ways of being flexible on various pieces of furniture. And the best part? Amazing sex plus a dry bed!

50 was right about Boston -- on the public transportation here in Boston, riders are encouraged to take camera-phone pictures and then report it to the transit police. You can't just sit back and let things happen as a bystander, but if I were the girl in the picture, I would have been terrified and trying to ignore the entire situation. A friend of mine was studying at the public library here and looked up to see a guy a few tables down jerking off and looking right at her. She screamed and ran and the dude was arrested. It doesn't make a difference whether you're on the subway or in the library, it's wrong and someone has to intervene.
