Is dressing up as a Romulan or a Klingon (because you can't really do it without making your face look like another race) racist? How about as a vampire? Aren't they a different race? Is it okay because they are fiction? Is it okay to be hateful to a fictional character, because they feel no pain? Does context really have no bearing here? Are we all so simple minded that we cannot recognize the difference between the racist intent in "blackface" and the homage that is being paid to a memorable character and the actor who portrayed LaForge?

Charles, have you considered that your walks are somehow responsible for the dead animals? that maybe if only you flew, drove or biked, these animals might be alive? if the beating of a butterfly and all that, then the draft created by the walking of a Mudede could be the cause of such death among the small creatures. Take responsibility, work no longer. Stay home and ponder all the death you didn't cause by walking to work.

@4 the difference between narcotics and guns is that all guns start out being purchased legally. We need a method for knowing who the straw purchasers are, and if we can track (at least all the new) guns that get sold that way (or identify who the common denominator is when illegal guns are found, that is a good first step. Are there a bunch out there already? yes. Will ANY new law change that? No. But it will start things off.
