What do you mean by "surrogacy is the new slavery"? Some of us are actively considering surrogacy for reasons other than money. I'm not a slave to my body, nor should you tell me I am a slave for deciding what to do with my fertility.

What is wrong with your country? Why would you ever let people go through this?
"In some ways it was a flash, those 134 days, fighting for treatments, arguing with insurance companies, pushing for another drug, getting her to the hospital for chemotherapy. Always another deadline, something to arrange, a problem to solve. "
This just makes me upset more than anything, that this is what people have to go through during that sort of time.

@8 I think that it would cause more break-ins.
I own a rifle, I live in the Yukon, Canada. It's registered. There is no way that I would advertise that I have a gun in my home, that's basically saying to people "break into my house, I have stuff worth stealing"
By the way, I am in no way supportive of your NRA. I think owning a gun is a privilege and I fully support registration and restriction matters. I own a gun so I can provide myself and my family with healthy organic meat, that I know the provenance of. That's my only reason.

O Holy Night has an interesting third verse, usually omitted:
Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.

I live in the Yukon, I'm a long-time devoted Slog reader (I don't comment very often, though).
The other day, I drove by this lake while it was still freezing up. It looked like this, except there were cracks where the water was still washing over.
And @2, the lake is 100km long or so. You really will have to skate a mile.

To the people who have commented that maybe he does actually have an XY genotype, I think that they would check that out before going on hormone therapy. I don't know this as fact, but it just seems to make sense to me.
