@3 If you look at the evolution of OSX from 10.3 to 10.7, you'll see a gradual iOSification of the operating system. While Microsoft is trying to shoehorn Win8 onto small devices, Apple is trying to find a way to transition desktop users to an iOS system.
Aug 4, 2012 sven forkbeard commented on Sorry, Redditors, Rumors of 2028 Seattle Olympics Look Bogus.
OK so the rumour is unfounded and ridiculous but let's pause to consider the implications of having the Games split between Canada and (the notoriously border-protection-obsessed land of) America. Can you imagine the bureaucratic nightmare that would come from dealing with all those cross-border workers? London has some 70,000 paid workers, most of whom floated between venues in the lead-up to the Games. Then the organising committee would have to dual-visa the athletes, coaches, media and support people. Border lines would be outrageous; logistics would be a nightmare; federal, state, provincial, and dozens of local governments (plus the US and Canadian National Olympic Committees) would all bicker incessantly over taxes and funding and prestige events. Where would you hold the opening ceremony? Vancouver? Seattle? Bellingham? Out on the water somewhere? In an immense zeppelin that doubles as the athletics stadium and floats over Peach Arch Crossing? Egads.

And... I'm calling it. Die Hard wins by the length of the Trans-Canada Highway, the Trans-Siberian Railway and every penis in the world laid end-to-end.

These guys are racist douchebags, no doubt about it.

This latest assassination sets a worrying precedent though. Without trial or even evidence-made-public, the U.S. Government ordered the execution of an American citizen. I'm sure Obama is rational and reasonable enough to only use this power on enemies of the state in far-off countries who really do mean all Americans harm, but how long will it take until a future president orders the death of an American within U.S. borders for dangerous rhetoric?

If this is what America at war with al Qaeda looks like, what would it look like if America declared war on Anonymous? Videos on YouTube of Seal Team 6 busting down an apartment door in Dallas and shooting greasy teenagers dead for plotting their next hack?

SoftPaws look fucking creepy. Why would anyone want to deck their cat out with cheap pornstar nails?

Ignoring the bad behaviour seems to do the trick. Though clever cats will probably just kick it up a notch and start kneading your sensitive bits with their claws.

Just because the city was built by humans, it doesn't mean that its the best environment for human well-being.

@32 The same Lorne Michaels who executive produced Kids in the Hall which was quite possibly the most gay-friendly thing on TV in the 90s.

To be fair, they're not "your private files" and you'd still have your local ones. Removing pirated music from their servers is not like deleting personal emails because you didn't create the music and you don't own the music. It's someone else's music that you're using illegitimately.

Maybe within your moral sphere keeping pirated music is acceptable but within the letter of the law, it's not and Google is obliged to abide by that.

I'm with @1, though some quality erotic lit would make a nice companion.

It looks like a fairly nice bible, all things considered. Is that cover real leather?

@2 from what Christians have told me, the translations are holy words brought by angels. Perhaps that only applies to the original King James version.
