Beyonce Lip-Synched the National Anthem.
Even if she actually sang, what gets me about this is the Velveeta artificiality. Guess what? It IS an outdoor event in 19 degrees. Outdoors does not sound like indoors or like a recording studio. The sound of outdoors is, and SHOULD BE, part of the experience. And yet we Americans have to have everything mixed, balanced, perfected, and with reverb added. I, for one, would like to hear reality-- the way it would have been, say 100 years ago. I want it to feel like what and where it is. That is- or should be-- part of the event. (But... not like that's going to be happening anytime soon.)

People aren't actually thinking this is genuine... are they?? Clearly satire (alas!)

Bullied Gay Teenager Commits Suicide—Will His Tormentors Face Charges?.
Thanks, Dan, for putting the word "Christians" in quotation marks. Every time I hear that word used to refer to people like these, it makes me sick. Same thing with "Family Research Council"-- they destroy families, there's no research, and "council" suggests benevolent, honest discussion. Being forced to use these names gives these assholes a legitimacy that is a total lie.

The Worst Person In The World.
The hypocrisy and avarice of these people are despicable. The father should be in jail. The daughters should keep their damn fool mouths shut. The mother should be humiliated beyond words. But none of these things area bout to happen.

Speaking of Assholes on Facebook.
There's another performance of the song by the same singer at Youtube as well, with much better video and audio, but without the audience-- in case you're interested, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55I83jEAI…
