I don't think the teacher was being intentionally racist, I think she (might have) smelled something she didn't like, was already pissed about SOMETHING, and her inner racist (that everyone has) took over, and she assumed it was the girl with the different (black) hair. Everyone, without exception, has some race-based emotions: it's how you handle those emotions that classifies you as a racist or not. And she handled her emotions TERRIBLY. She could have sent the girl to the nurse, to the principal, anywhere... but she sent her to another, lower-placement class. I'm sure she felt better once her class was nice and white again, but she knew right away that she handled it poorly.

These guys seem like really decent people (I've given to Child's Play in the past), and are marketing geniuses (or at least know how to hire some). That being said, I don't know if I wanna see dumpy middle-aged men plotz around and talk about their opinions on video games. Still, you go Tycho and Gabe!

Interestingly enough, the idea that it's heart breaking and a little "too true" is what MAKES it satire. Hell, it's the very definition. Damn, it's one of the founding principles of comedy.

@23. I'm so sorry, but I'll have to disagree with you on this one. Kids are always off-limits, especially in what should have been a civil discussion. I'm sure her parents didn't force her to go up there, but she may have wanted to, and this jerk had absolutely no tact or respect to chew her out and then boast about it. And the same goes to all of you "welcome to the real world, honey!" commenters, She's 11. She is off limits.

This guy might have a loose, wishy-washy point about how people need to "fend for themselves", but to go after a kid? A child, by their very definition, cannot fend for their selves. Not only does he drill into a helpless kid after she had the nerve to stand up in front of a room of well-dressed adults, he brags about it afterward from the inside of his luxury car?! Hey, asshole, if you cared as much for your community as this little girl does, the town would be a much better place.

So, am I to understand that people who take their dogs for a walk can't wait the 5 minute return trip to have a beer, or that they have nigh-suicidal alcoholism that they MUST have a beer with their dog. There's no excuse to take your dog with you to a bar. If it tears up the house while you're gone, get it more training. If it hates to be alone and "cries", tough shit, it's an animal.

I imagine that as they are re-creating a town that sells items to wizards, they have to have a few shops in there to kinda make it look, ya know, like a town. I'd like to see a few replicas of regular wizard's homes, and a guided tour through the Shrieking Shack, but nobody's perfect.
