Considering it is an organization that is above the law and is allowed to police itself for some reason, testimony after-the-fact will not be enough to stop or reform the catholic church.

It will take sting operations, recordings and arrests to shake the foundations of this useless institution.

In the parade procession, these kids were directly in front of a float consisting of the sun and surrounding planets. I just assumed the kids with black paint were part of that group and were supposed to represent outer space.

Perhaps this is why no on booed them.

They weren't carrying spears but one of them did have a plastic sword.

Even Norm Stamper, the Seattle Police Chief at the time, acknowledges that the WTO protests were peaceful until his department began dousing the crowds with chemical irritants. If you think the crowds were violent first, write a letter to the producer of whatever TV news show you watched the WTO protests on because you were mislead. Any violence or property damage that happened after that is on the SPD.

YOU try not smashing in a window or newspaper box with rage after being covered in burning chemicals and/or shot with a rubber bullet.

'Treason' and 'Ender/Speaker for the Dead' are among my favorite novels. Next time I read them (if I do), I may be in too critical of a mode to enjoy the stories.

There is so much empathy for humanity in Card's books. It is a crying shame the same cannot be said of Card himself.
