Shhhh! Don't tell the Teatards, but we did get a public option in the form of medicaid expansion. The states who didn't implement will -- after their hospitals start failing and lobbying their legislatures because they aren't getting paid for uncompensated care.
Then we just need to raise the multiple of poverty used to determine eligibility...
Actually, the teatards vaguely sense this, which is why they're freaked out, but there's no stopping it now.
In the meantime the rest of us no longer have to keep a crappy job just for the insurance.

@11, fucktwit: Goldy quotes scripture, without comment. No attack necessary because the words speak volumes all by themselves. Understandable that fucktwits like you would consider your own words as a attack.

This year I had a bunch of green cherry tomatoes and wanted to shut down my garden, so I tried pickling them for use in martinis. I used left over garlic-jalapeno green olive juice in the fridge for a couple weeks.

I moved to Duck Duck Go about a year ago before the Snowden/NSA stuff hit the news. As a former member of the National Security State, I've always been skeptical of things computer and privacy (no FB, etc. ever).
Some simple suggestions from a non techie for minimal tracking and a HUGE browser performance boost. Try this:
1. Install Firefox and set it to private only browsing (no cookies, etc.).
2. Install Duck Duck Go as your Home Page. Duck Duck Go is encrypted so you start with a clean slate every time you open your browser.
3. Firefox has a plug-in called No Script (free) that eliminates all the JAVA and other scripting. You can instantly toggle any page on which you actually want to see the blocked content (like Flash videos and interactivity) or turn on individual blocked objects.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but for the record, Murray pretty much has being in Senate leadership for the last while on his resume.
Not a such great record either (unless you're gay re marriage, of course -- no small feat and well done) as his record includes assuming the fascists in the leg are honorable men and women.
And we know how that turned out.
Hello! Depending on the honor of fascists is never a good legislative strategy.
At least Lisa Brown was honorable enough to leave office after that debacle.
Based on Ed's record, who's supporting who shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Ms. Thatcher gave shelter to Pinochet. I celebrate her passing, the world is a much better place.

It's REPRESENTATIVE Dana Rohrabacher (old school teatard-CA) who introduced the "Leave the States Alone" pot law. Thank FSM he is NOT a Senator.

I drink the occasional very dry vodka martini (just a dash of vermouth and a pickled green bean). The state stores used to carry Glacier Vodka, a potato vodka from Teton, Id. It's incredibly smooth and tasty.
Couldn't find it anywhere, even called the distributor in Idaho. Finally found it in a store (old state store) in Poulsbo. That's right, Poulsbo.
The selection everywhere else, including Costco sucks, sucks, sucks. Fuck them all. I want the state stores back. Whoever did their buying had great taste.

Umm, noted for the record, Constant got one wrong for a change (previous Slog post): Evidently, God is the King of the Assholes.
Rand Paul is just a punk piece of shit compared to God.

Natural monopoly: Way too many, including power production, health care, the internet, etc. are controlled by private interests.
I'm lucky to be served by a PUD. I pay far less for power than PSE (about 40% less). Among other things, PSE is burdened from the debt (>7 Billion) resulting from the Australian private equity firm that now owns it.
