The problem with Glendale is that it is waaaaay out in BFE. And hockey games are largely played during the week - so you have to drive to the burbs in rush hour traffic to get there. No thanks. If the Coyotes stayed in central Phoenix, none of this would've happened. But the City of Glendale cut them a super-sweetheart deal (the land was free - FREE!) because they thought it would benefit their city. They failed to grasp the idea that no one wants to drive 50 miles out of their way for weeknight hockey games. Sunday -- for the NFL -- for 8 weeks a year, sure. But hockey, nope. It's as if no one in Glendale's city management knew a single thing about sports. I hope that doesn't happen in Seattle.

One of my good friends, who -and I forgive her for this- is a Republican delegate, left the convention in disgust because all of the Ron Paul-ies were screaming and rude the whole time. I'm pretty sure I was married to this guy. Dan's right. It gets worse. The resentment just starts piling up and then you both shut down. Then you won't even WANT to have sex with him anymore because he makes you feel so crappy about it. But you'll still want to have sex because, well, people want to have sex. It's a recipe for disaster. Get out while the gettin's good.
