"Unless, of course, by "innovation," what you're really talking about is crushing the teachers unions."

Bingo.

This ad was clearly meant to make it appear that Gael is getting the Teamster's 174 endorsement. Otherwise why not say "Member, Local 174 Teamster" like it says "Owner, Ballard Oil".

Whatever her labor history is or isn't, it's damn shameful to pretend that you have an endorsement that you don't. And completely disrespectful to the members of those organizations who decide who their union do or don't want to endorse.

@25...
If he survived on welfare and food stamps then he didn't do it all on his own by pulling himself up by his own bootstaps now did he?

No, he and his family relied on the same social services that are being cut today. That's the whole point of the 99% movement. I don't begrudge any person success in life, but I do value our basic lifeline social services more than the 1%'s desire to horde more money.

Companies that incorporate in tax and tort friendly states like NC and Delaware have to deal with getting served process in those states. It's just about the only negative consequence to an otherwise completely corporate friendly practice.

Had they been served in Purchase, NY and not responded they would be arguing that they should have been served in NC.

At any rate, I know one secretary who won't be getting a Christmas bonus.
