I'm there at the Capitol right now with so many other wonderful loving supporters. The vote no folks are hugely overmatched today. Go Senator Dibble! Go Senator Wiger (my own)! We are going to do this Minnesota!

Congrats to Washington, Maine, and Maryland!!! I'm so happy for you! Also, I'm from Minnesota and a volunteer with our Vote No campaign. We were told over and over again that the ammendment may come down to only a few hundred votes..... well we ended up striking it down by over 100,000 votes (not including the one's left blank that automatically are counted as "no votes"). That, and we still are counting some votes in, as Dan said, liberal Minneapolis. This turned out so much better than I could ever have hoped. Freedom To Marry's offshoot in our state, Minnesotans United For All Families, worked so unbelievably hard and did EXTRORDINARY work. You couldn't imagine how well put together they were, and it paid off!

The big four did it!!! :D

I'm a Minnesota Vote No-er!!!

I'll be voting for Obama, but my husband is going the third-party route....which I think will be okay. Minnesota was the only state to vote for Mondale, so we're pretty firmly commited to the left as far as presidents go.

I think his message got through fine....it's the idiots who aren't going to get it, and they probably won't no matter how clear it is. I'm kinda curious to know what Dan's private conversations with Stephen are like, when he's not in character, but I don't think Dan will tell us, or even think that he should. In any case, I think they must enjoy each other and respect each other, or Dan would not have been on the show as often as he has.

I love those letters because I'm a lot like those women too. Dan's ideas of monogamy should piss me off....I've been hurt more than once by my cheating husband, but they don't. His advice has helped me push through the hard times of my marriage, and I'm sure there will be more along the way.

I bought the It Get's Better book and donated for the free T-shirt to give to my sister for her birthday today. She started her high school's first GSA and today they went to our State's LGBT Lobby Day to speak with their Representative. He didn't even know what Prop 8 was, or that Minnesota might have one of our own marriage amendments to vote on in 2012!

When I was 18, and my partner was 23, I didn't even like the idea of him looking at porn. It made me ridiculously jealous! Now I'm 25, he's 30, we're married with a baby on the way, and I prod him to have sex with other women because I find it the hottest thing in the world. You never know what you're going to be willing or even desiring to do with someone you're in love with until you find yourself there. Just like @16 said, it takes little steps at a time. You have to make rules that fit how you feel at the time, and as you grow comfortable with them, slowly bend those rules until they are bent so far forward, you forgot where you started.
