commented on SL Letter of the Day: Sure You Don't
I was 18 when I had my first relationship (ended up being my only relationship, I married the guy) and I did know beforehand that guys watched porn, but my naive self thought it was only frustrated dissatisfied guys that did, either by being single, or long-term married. The first time I caught my guy beating off to the computer I was shocked and hurt. We were having sex constantly, in the "first few months" of our relationship, so seeing that made me sure that he wasn't attracted to me and wasn't enjoying our time together as much as I thought. Luckily, he was very open and honest with me about his porn use and why he just had to do it sometimes, and that it didn't mean he didn't want me....and that all guys felt the same. So I loosened up, and I'm a very open, sex-positive person now. I think it's so important for guys to be honest, and I also think it's important for girls to learn this ahead of time, so things like this letter doesn't happen so often. Yes, there will always be women who don't accept it and never will, but that's the minority of us. Cut this girl a little slack, she's new to this and she's feeling extremely vulnerable and insecure!

I still think Jorah was made way too attractive. I keep wanting him and Dany together, even though in the books he was supposed to be pretty ugly and she never saw him as anything romantic.
I don't like crazy looking guys so I'd be more inclined to like the second Daario.... but like others have said, it was refreshing to see someone who looked a little different from the rest (first Daario).

Congrats to Washington, Maine, and Maryland!!! I'm so happy for you! Also, I'm from Minnesota and a volunteer with our Vote No campaign. We were told over and over again that the ammendment may come down to only a few hundred votes..... well we ended up striking it down by over 100,000 votes (not including the one's left blank that automatically are counted as "no votes"). That, and we still are counting some votes in, as Dan said, liberal Minneapolis. This turned out so much better than I could ever have hoped. Freedom To Marry's offshoot in our state, Minnesotans United For All Families, worked so unbelievably hard and did EXTRORDINARY work. You couldn't imagine how well put together they were, and it paid off!
The big four did it!!! :D

I'm a Minnesota Vote No-er!!!
I'll be voting for Obama, but my husband is going the third-party route....which I think will be okay. Minnesota was the only state to vote for Mondale, so we're pretty firmly commited to the left as far as presidents go.

commented on Monogamy and Its Miss Contents
I think his message got through fine....it's the idiots who aren't going to get it, and they probably won't no matter how clear it is. I'm kinda curious to know what Dan's private conversations with Stephen are like, when he's not in character, but I don't think Dan will tell us, or even think that he should. In any case, I think they must enjoy each other and respect each other, or Dan would not have been on the show as often as he has.
I love those letters because I'm a lot like those women too. Dan's ideas of monogamy should piss me off....I've been hurt more than once by my cheating husband, but they don't. His advice has helped me push through the hard times of my marriage, and I'm sure there will be more along the way.
