Yeah, it's a copy of that.

Saying "Brian Eno worked on this album" is like saying Keith Richards worked on a Rolling Stones album. Eno was one of the founding members of Roxy Music. He is not only responsible for the unique sound of the band (through his "treatment" of the music - creating a sound so unique they had to come up with a new name for it, hence Roxy Music) during his tenure, he clearly influenced the sound of the band long after his departure.

I bought this album when it came out in 1973 and I can tell you that hearing it was mind-boggling. It was like hearing music for the first time. And I have rarely heard anything since that has caused that level of excitement. And it still holds up!

I was hopeful about this article when it mentioned early on “our woeful lack of services for the mentally ill” and “better mental health services.” But clearly, I was mistaken. When we are still referring to the mentally ill as “crazy,” as in “Crazy plus guns equals death,” we’ve identified a huge part of the problem right there.

Then the article goes on to bandy the word around by referring to those who oppose gun control as “crazy” in the line, “How crazy is the opposition?” Then, a quote from Joe Waldron of the Washington State Rifle and Pistol Association in which he refers to the mentally ill as “nutcases.”

Guns are the least of our worries.

I’d highly recommend your staff read "Anatomy of an Epidemic: Magic Bullets, Psychiatric Drugs, and the Astonishing Rise of Mental Illness in America" by Robert Whitaker. Especially, when you start talking in the accompanying article about “commit[ing] the mentally ill to treatment involuntarily while preserving everyone's civil rights.”

And supporting NAMI is like putting a Band-Aid on a shotgun wound, so to speak, as they continue to feed the greed of the pharmaceutical industry.

After reading Cienna Madrid's lead article about a proposed bill to stop Christian pregnancy centers from distributing misinformation, I expected she'd eventually get to information about the bill itself (Limited Service Pregnancy Center Accountability Act [HB 1366/SB 5274]), who voted against it last time it failed, how similar bills have fared in other states, where we might attend a meeting to better organize and assure its passage this time. Perhaps a little side bar with some info on Reproductive Health & Rights Lobby Day on Monday, February 28 in Olympia.

What I got instead were some jokes about praying, condoms, and scratch tickets (and the uproarious line "while pointing at my vagina"). But I had to remind myself that this is an entertainment newspaper, even if its subject matter sometimes falls under the guise of news.

RE: 45 Shadows. I couldn't agree with you more. And those of you who use a sensational photo spread such as this as an excuse to not attend a protest in the future are just looking for an out. You've no real desire to participate, and probably wouldn't, even if everyone dressed and behaved to your liking.

The problem, Chucky, is the environment in which you are raising them. They would be helping you in the fields if you weren't raising them in a box surrounded by concrete. You have destroyed their reason for being and now you are blaming them for it. The only thing interesting about this article is the photograph that accompanies it.
