I have been sharing Faireset (cat/animal videos) with my students for several months. He is quite the innovator! Watch his work on the Tour Eiffel (Eiffel Tower) to see the true nature of this online artist. He even replied to one of my class's questions!

@lilnova, Go directly to the video, not the channel, to make a comment. After listening to "This American Life/Harper High" and watching this video today, my heart is heavy. I'm a high school teacher who tries to show how much I care to every student. When I see this pain, I cannot control my tears. Any teacher who adds to a child's pain needs to consider a career change. Austin, I care for you.

Catherine from Bellingham! I am at a conference in Chicago for the week. I went outside today from 9:00-5:15. Ran 5 miles, walked for hours in the heat. I miss summer heat. Don't miss the rain one bit.

Mount Vernon High School has installed a bee hive on campus! http://www.goskagit.com/youtube_af3864b8…
The buzz on campus isn't just from the bees!

Could we organize a Stranger-Fangirl trip to Vancouver to watch a game together? We could stay downtown in a place with HBO and watch the show pre/post game. I am serious. I have no one with whom I can go to a game. It would be akin to Slog Happy Hour in VanCity!

At what point in this tantrum did the person who filmed this decide that he/she should be filming it? I have asked my high school students what they would think if their parents had posted every outburst they ever had. The majority replied that they would be appalled if their younger years were at the whim of their parents/adults. Not everything a child does needs to be posted.

My first "car" was a 1969 Dodge Dart. Luckily, I moved up in the world when my parents bought me (for $500) a 1982 Ford Fairmont station wagon, complete with wooden pannels. My drive to high school was styling. Everyone loved my mom-mobile-grocery-getter-make-out-monster. I was no longer a prisoner of my parents Ford van with the pull-down bed.

If possible, please find Bernad Ouellette and ask him some scripted, non-specific questions about the day's topics. He doesn't really announce, but rather he reads a non-ending litany of promo questions. Second, coach him on time telling. I cannot stand his morning routine, so I listen to Minnesota PR on my iPod. This Cliff Mass situation and KUOW's constantly changing personality have led me to seek less "mossier" pastures. I am disappointed.

When I took my students of French to Canada for the Olympics last year, Poutine was the first thing I made them try. We even made it for our final cooking exam. They were hooked! That plate makes my pico de gallo lunch look sad.

It was unusual to see "Slog tipper SeMe sent in photos of the young woman's rescue on the skybridge. (One more is after the jump.)" when the article is about a possible suicide by jumping. Yes, I do know what the "blog jump" is, but still, a bit strange to see it in print.
