Boy Scouts Delay Decision on Admitting Gay Members and Leaders.
As an Eagle Scout, I am very disappointed in the Boy Scouts' delay of a decision to admit gay scouts. Looking back, I am sure there were gay kids in my Troop, but it really wasn't germane to the adventures and fun that we had. Many may point to the 'morally straight' in the Oath, but what is more righteous than standing up to discrimination? If they vote to discriminate, they are depriving a lot of kids the opportunity to learn the great lessons that are the core of scouting: honor, loyalty, service to community.

Mitt Romney Is a Sad and Lonely Man, and His Loss Will Haunt Him Forever.
If you look at the parties' national leaders after their last election, here is the tread: republicans drop off the face of map, democrats continue working on societal good.
Carter: carter center and habitat for humanity
Reagan: retire to ranch
GHW Bush: retire to kennebunkport
Clinton: Clinton global initiative
Gore: Nobel prize
GW Bush: retire to ranch
Mitt: retire to la jolla.
Mitt isn't sad, he is perfectly happy following in the footsteps of elder republicans.

A Minute-By-Minute Recap of This Morning's Viaduct-Less West Seattle Commute.
@ 45 What if we threw in tolls, and the possibility of being buried alive in an earthquake? Starting to sound good!
Adding more anecdotal information, I biked in from WS today, and saw way more bikers than normal. And the West Seattle Blog mentioned at capacity Water Taxi routes, something that rarely happens. Alternative modes, working from home and going downtown early/late seems to have worked today for W.Seattlites. We've been preparing for months.
I feel bad for all the I-5ers that didn't register the impact it would have on their commute, and don't have as many options.
