From the Mailbag....
Sakyamuni Buddha was born 2556 years ago and gave hundreds and hundreds of talks, and used parables and metaphors to teach his principles and wisdom. He taught about impermanence, that all things are born, live, get sick and die. In Buddhism there are no gods, magic, superstition or “souls.” The Buddhist concept of rebirth and the cycle of life is not reincarnation. That is not say there are no people who practice Buddhism who don’t have superstitious beliefs. We are all humans with passions, attachments and delusions.

Ear Candling: "The Work of the Devil".
Twenty years ago my doc's RN's used hydrogen peroxide diluted with water to wash out ear wax. Today they use warm water. However hydrogen peroxide is an excellent mouth wash and minor wound cleaner.

Transgender Marriage.

Theodore Dreiser Weather Report.
Dense but lovely prose! I love looking words up in a dictionary, like 'arrogates' and 'dray,'
and the typos too: ‘estrablishments’, ‘artistifical.’ Perhaps ‘producted’ is an old english term?
