Trees Are People, Too.
Why can't someone use yarn on an art project while also knitting sweaters for the homeless? Why can't someone spend $5k for their dog to have an operation while also donating money to a local soup kitchen? How come, on this blog, every time somebody makes a choice to do something they are accused of prioritizing something over something else? Aren't you all wasting countless minutes in front of your computer typing meaningless words when you could be doing and typing things I personally consider far more meaningful and important?

Outing News Corp Kinksters.
The comments under the article are even worse. When it comes to sex, I feel like I live in a country full of 8 year olds.

For Those Who Can't Leave Horrible Texas.
@4 I exercised my "feet democracy" to do just that last year. Guess what, Texans? I've never looked back.
Also, since I didn't freeze to death the moment I crossed the border into "Yankee Land" (I only moved to the Midwest but that's what everyone in Texas calls the rest of the world) or crawl back, begging for forgiveness like all my friends and family assumed I would, I've now gotten them to take a second look at the possibility of leaving as well. My sister is making serious plans to move once she graduates. So yeah, I'm all for supporting some kind of exodus from Texas. Or the Texas Secession Movement. Either one works.

"Question about Capitol Hill 'Gay Mafia'".
Dear @7,
I usually avoid reading unregistered posts because they are so often disappointing, but every once in a while, one like yours makes me laugh so hard I start to choke. Thanks for keeping hope alive.

SL Letter of the Day: The Sit & Spinster.
Just want to add another child-of-divorce experience to the list we've got going here. My parents got divorced when I was 17, at which point my life became IMMENSELY better. The house had been a chaotic environment full of stress and tension until they finally split up and started focusing more attention on my younger siblings and I instead of fighting with each other. My husband's parents just divorced last year. He believes they should have done it much, much sooner.

They Haven't Found the Gay Gene Yet.
The goofy attempts to connect these kinds of studies with partisan politics is really irritating. It reminds me of
when this happened. I mean sure, we all think Republicans are whiny, but encouraging this sort of "science" is just going to backfire on everyone.
