"High pressure front"? Oh, Paul, that's not even a thing.

This is painfully classist; you're hereby kicked out of Marxism, Charles. Not that the naive, bourgeois writing hasn't been on the wall for a while.

Are these those Nazi twins under a new name?

You say, "triumph for the gay movement"; I say, "self-serving way to score faux-lefty points while also increasing the supply of working-class people enticed into dying in murderous military adventures."

What is that teleprompter bullshit even about, anyway? Every president since teleprompters were invented has used them. Every president before they were invented used written notes on a desk or podium. Anyone who has done a presentation has probably used index cards or Powerpoint notes. What's the problem?

I love how on Slog it's such a HILARIOUS fringe idea that your enjoyment of butter isn't worth a cow being forced for its entire life to live in a stall where it doesn't have room to turn around.

A real French person would also be bothered by "nouveau" coming after the noun. It's one of the adjectives that go first.

There's also this little bit warning posted at the entrance of the exhibit:

"This exhibit displays human remains of Chinese citizens or residents which were originally received by the Chinese Bureau of Police. The Chinese Bureau of Police may receive bodies from Chinese prisons. Premier cannot independently verify that the human remains you are viewing are not those of persons who were incarcerated in Chinese prisons."

Some of the bodies are rumored to be those of executed Chinese political prisoners.

@5

Uh, Puerto Rico has voted multiple times in referenda not to apply for statehood.
Jan 31, 2010 mylesleo commented on Super Bowl.
The latter. Its only purpose is to serve as a distraction and a "compensation for life" in Q.D. Leavis's words — to allow sedentary Americans the dream that one day they too could be graceless, hulking, and unintelligent and still be admired for athletic prowess — yet it's extremely boring.
