@23. Advising bi people to come out is not about furthering the "gay agenda," it is about making life easier for the presumed hetero, partnered bi people out there. Yes, coming out removes the stigma- and the assumptions of others.

1. Get to a family attorney and get legal custody of your nephew so they can't drag him back into a violent/abusive situation.
2. Get your nephew into counseling or at least reading some JohnShore.com.
3. Set up a paypal donation account to pay for the above 2 expenses. There are many of us out here who can kick in a few bucks and that will help.
4. You rock. I would have given anything to have had a family member take me in when my parents booted my queer ass out in high school. You are saving a life.

This pseudo-Pauline passage is in direct contradiction to the examples of Jesus and an initial church structure that was dominated by women. Ephesians 5:22-24, falsely attributed to Paul, was written in late 1st century to make the crazy-equitable-free-for-all that was early Christianity conform to Roman social standards, including slavery and subjugation of women.

@12 How compassionate of G-pa to never let G-ma know that she had a spouse incapable of loving her completely, in a way she deserved to be loved. It's a shame G-ma went mental after years of living in such a transparent, honest and supportive marriage. Obviously G-pa was right to divorce that crazy lady- well after his children were grown or could have benefitted from the stability of a sane, custodial parent.

@64 - FFGone, you made choices and you make choices. It still sounds as if you think things "just happen" to you. Stop choosing "no effort" choice that is directly in front of you. If you are committed to changing your life, change it. Don't fuck DBFBF. You just want it 'cause you're in pain, it's a bold stroke that will shake things up and it's easy. Go to school. Become self sufficient. Stop blaming everyone but your own damn self for your misery.

Seriously? MOOCs are undermining the quality of a college degree? Have you been on a campus in the last 10 years? Money has been sucked out of the classrooms and poured into administrative overhead while tuition skyrockets. A MOOC is as interactive as a freshman survey course gets at most schools and a heck of a lot cheaper. Bring it on.
