I'd like feedback from the hivemind related to this. I'm straight, but there are a few pics on FB of me kissing guys, taken at comedy shows that I've been involved in. Would making one of those my profile picture be at all contradictory because it was played for laughs and wasn't "genuine" queer affectionate kissing? Or is it more important to simply go with the picture of two dudes kissing to promote this, regardless of the intent when the picture was taken?
What do y'all think?

The quote is amusing when intentionally misinterpreted. But to be fair, the UCC is actually pretty cool as churches go. They were the first mainstream denomination in the US to ordain gays way back in the early 70s. If someone really wants to be christian but doesn't want a place that's bigoted toward the LGBTBBQWTF community, I'd point them there.

Reading RISK's letter and Dan's response, I had the exact same thought as #10. If you have roommates it should make it harder for someone who turns out to be a creep to do something serious beyond the normal potential of being a schmuck in bed.

I've held a certain theory for many years now: there's no such thing as a mean drunk. By which I mean, alcohol doesn't make them a "mean drunk," they're just a fucking asshole who's learned to pretend and behave like a decent person when they're sober. Alcohol lowers their inhibitions and self-control so their true, asshole nature comes out.
That's not to say someone's a shit if they're not perfect while drinking; almost everyone does or says something a little douche-y once in a while, drunk or not. But if they're pretty consistently an asshole under the influence, they're really just an asshole.
