Oooh, this is the column that turned me into a Savage Love reader when I ran across it in print in 2005. I still quote the "Alaskan National Damaged Goods Refuge" line to people on a regular basis. Great to see it again!

I agree with @21, 22, 23. I had an obsessive fantasy of being fattened up and eaten when I was little (like age 4-8) and I used to think about it when I masturbated. So it was definitely sexual! I thought Hansel and Gretel was like the hottest story ever. Many little girls (like me) masturbate at that age. I don't have that fetish anymore at all; grew out of it when I realized what sex was and got interested in that instead. Mine never turned into a phobia but I could imagine it occurring from shame as you learn what sexuality is and realize that your weird fantasy wasn't "innocent." I just wanted the caller to know she's not alone, since my experience (minus the phobia) was very similar.

Uh, sorry, but duh. Change.org never claimed to be a site that promotes progressive causes, It's just a petition site. The founder has said so in interviews like this one on The Daily Show:
