I, Anonymous.
I don't think the stripper cares one way or the other so long as he's picking up her bills for her, so only two lives are being ruined here.

Crosshairs and Consequences.
Ummmm...would all of you dumbshits whining about the illustration please go to Google Images and type in "surveyors mark" please. Did that help you calm down a bit? @8 states the simple truth and only 2 commenters out of the next 90 seem to understand that the image on Palin's face is actually a surveyors mark. Pull your heads out please.

Catch, Kill, Cook, Eat!.
This article was hilarious. Having just watched Food, Inc. and being a tad more than halfway through The Omnivore's Dilemma, I got the point. I have no problem with eating cows, chickens, pork, etc. I do miss the days of knowing where the meat I was eating came from, though. My grandparents had a farm out in the sticks, complete with a huge vegetable garden, cows, pigs, and chickens. I remember one day, I was 5 at the time, this stranger came with a rifle. He selected a cow, stood in front of it and aimed the rifle at the cow's forehead and BOOM! All of the other cows ran off, the soon to be dead cow just stood there with a hole in its head. The dude with the gun put another round in the chamber and let Mr. (I don't recall seeing udders) Cow have it again. The second bullet made a fountain of blood pour out of the cow's head for a good solid minute. Then the flow of blood slowed and stopped and Mr. Cow eventually fell over dead. Mr. Cow was then dragged out into the middle of the pasture and carved up. I got to see the inside of a cow up close and personal and I will never forget the experience. I was hoping the cow would run away before it got shot, but it wasn't very disturbing in the end. OTOH, watching cows get picked up with forklifts at a CAFO really makes my stomach turn. I'm going grass fed from here on out.

My Daughter, Her Hair, and the Seattle School District.
After reading the Seattle Times article, Mudede's article, the response in the Dominick Holden article, and the comments to both Stranger pieces, I have no doubt that none of us has enough information to come to any worthwhile conclusion.
However, Mr. Mudede plays the race card early and often, offering no evidence whatsoever that his "brown" daughter was a victim of racism. Then he plays the "It's a black thang, you wouldn't understand" card. Then he plays the race card again. The only thing that seems really clear to me is that Mudede has issues with white people. I sincerely hope that the child was taken aside discreetly and that care was taken to make the transition from one room to the other as normal as it could be. I have no faith that the Seattle School District would be competent enough to ensure that scenario, but it's possible. I'm sure that the Seattle School District has some very good teachers who care about their students. Maybe Mudede's daughter had one of those, maybe she was stuck with some pedantic POS, we may never find that out. I tend to always believe the truth lies somewhere in the middle, but I really hated Mudede's crappy article. So I hope the finger of blame winds up pointed directly at him when this mess gets resolved. White people aren't fucking your kid up Charles, you are.

Dino Rossi’s Baggage.
Nothing direct, factual, or newsworthy? I might be convinced to agree on the newsworthy aspect, but the rest of it seems to hit the slimy nail on the head. I wonder if scumbag Dino is going to keep the "Don't Let Seattle Steal This Election" slogan on his campaign signs on the Olympic Penninsula and in Eastern Washington. Whatever. It won't make a difference anyway. Dino's just gonna get beat up by another girl.

Burkas and Birkins.
Hmmmm. I haven't and won't see the movie. This review only serves to affirm my abject hatred of the SATC franchise. I'm not getting the accusations of mysogyny, though. I hate the characters on this show as much or more than I hate the characters on Grey's Anatomy. It doesn't mean I hate women in general. Sarah Jessica Parker's voice bothers me even when she's not spewing the shit the SATC writers have created for her. The goblin shoulders comment and the details of Kim Cattrall's (sp?) dried up puss? I can see how that might offend some people, but maybe those people read The Stranger with the hope that they'll read something that fills them with righteous indignation. Yup, this review was pure fucking hilarity and all of you Lindy haters can lick my hairy, cheese encrusted ballsack.
P.S.--Lindy, I hope you'll consider suffering through a few episodes of Grey's Anatomy and blessing us with a review of that shitbox of a television show.
