SL Letter of the Day: Anti-Gay Haters Are Doing Us a Favor.
It might be worth noting an exception to the truism that coming out usually helps to spread acceptance. This is only true if your family likes and respects you. My family sees me as everything that is wrong with the world: leftist, artistic, borderline socialist, atheist. If I were to also come out -- or rather, if I were to let them in on that side of who I am -- the hatred would overflow. We now only talk about once every two years. The might talk to me more if I gave them more to mock. For some families, it's completely a lost cause to let them in.

SL Letter of the Day: Unbroken.
My best friend (and uncle) has MS. He was diagnosed 8 years ago. I would like to suggest that you go vegan. I know this sounds crackpot, but I'm not saying this for any PETA reason. Just that the progress of the MS was reversed for my Uncle. He couldn't walk. And now he can. Ask your doctor about going vegan; it could regain some of your feeling and give you a few extra years of your life.

Charles C. Boycott. English landlord during the Irish "land war." people avoided buying goods that funneled money to his land, using the term "boycott" to discuss their strategy.

Confidential to Megyn Kelly.
I would like to point out that most conservatives remain in their ideological mind game even when their loved ones are gay, or in need or health insurance, or agonizing over the recent dissolution of their union.
My very conservative family tells me to suck it up when my epilepsy prevents me from being able to buy health insurance, when my Madison union was just dissolved, and when I came out to them as a teenager.
See? They are consistent in their hatred.

I love guys who think that they have a blood line. You contribute sperm, not blood. Bloodlines are matrilineal.

I'm Looking Forward to Reading Obama's Memoirs.
How does laughing hysterically come off as "befuddelement"? They were having a wonderful time laughing at the black man who made his way to the White House. Or, as my conservative family members tell me, the now-Black house.
This article gives the audience too much of an out. They were keeling over with laughter.

SL Letter of the Day: Cock Shots.
I think the cock shot is a misguided attempt to use what men think would work coming from women -- breasts, for instance -- but using their own equipment. I doubt heavily that anyone is hoping to find the "sort of girl" who likes that sort of thing. They are just poking around in the dark, unaware that it's the least creative and least sexy way to start off.

SL Letter of the Day: One Word.
Yeah, this is called Reproductive Abuse. A guy who is obsessed with his own progeny regardless of the women carrying his babies.
And, Law & Order SVU covered this JUST LAST WEEK with John Stamos. Look it up, watch it, breakup with this fool.
