Something really similar happened to me. I didn't know I was pregnant until I miscarried. My boyfriend had broken up with me just a month prior. I didn't tell him for almost 18 months. We were both seeing other people by the time I told him. It wasn't some attempt to get him back or cause him pain. I was battling pretty severe depression, and I just couldn't hold on to that secret anymore.

There are some notable differences between LW's ex and me. While my pregnancy was unplanned, it would have been very much wanted. Also, my ex and I were on friendly speaking terms. To complicate things even further, my niece was born the same month that my child would have been born.

It still hurts, over 5 years later. I thought that if he grieved with me, it wouldn't hurt so badly. I was wrong. He didn't grieve much, and I felt even more alone. It didn't help that I was in an emotionally abusive relationship and couldn't tell my partner about it. And I couldn't tell my family without "ruining" the joy of my sister's pregnancy. (Or so my depressed brain convinced me what would happen.)

Given my own experience, I really don't think LW's ex has ulterior motives. I think she just desperately wants someone to acknowledge her pain. Counseling might be helpful for her. I know it's helping me.

I hear ya, KayElle!

I am totally open to polyamory, once I have my own primary partner. I can't handle being someone's second or third in line unless I am someone else's first in line. Sadly, finding a poly partner who doesn't already have a primary is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Actually, finding any guy who is interested in the whole "lifetime commitment" thing is pretty rare.

How is Kickin' Boot not on this list? BBQ and whiskey? Yes, please.

Ten is amazing, but it is not even close to inexpensive. Genki is really good for the price, especially if you're allergic to wasabi. Wasabi on everything is what keeps me from the much cheaper Sushiland.

Are we ever going to find out who won 2013? Or do we have to wait until this leg of the tour is done?

@46 I'm queer, female, and an immigrant, and I actually left my partner's downtown apartment to watch people celebrating in the streets. People of every gender, race, orientation and nationality, were out on 1st Ave having a goddamn blast.

The reason you feel safe in a protest is that you make yourself part of that group. The reason you feel unsafe with sports fans is because you perceive them as other. Protestors are just as likely to get violent as football fans. And do, just as often. Some people are assholes, period. It has nothing to do with their interests, gender, race, or country of origin.

The world is a pretty shitty place, and it gets a lot shittier when people spread fear.

As a bisexual, I agree with Dan that fellatio is much more physically taxing than cunnilingus. I've never choked on a vulva, nor had to push a woman back from uncomfortably fucking my throat without asking. Not that I don't enjoy giving a beej--quite the contrary! It's totally worth the hard work.

@Treacle, that was "Fuck" and it was amazing! It was my vote for best in show.

My favorite comedy was the trans flight attendant bit (Trans-Am maybe?). I can't remember the name of the one I voted best sex, but it was shown in reverse with an adorable gay couple and a great song. So hot. For best kink I had a hard time choosing between "His" and the fire-play one. "Daddy's Dolls" freaked me out. I couldn't even get a weird girl-boner for it, and I tried! I kept having to remind myself that their kink is not my kink, but their kink is okay. I would've liked to have seen more done with the blood play, and less hitting in the face. Also, the wine bath just didn't seem to add anything. *shrugs* All in all, it was an amazing show. I can't wait to see the results!

Am I the only person who totally wants to work in this field? I've worked customer service for years, this just sounds like the best/worst job ever.

Also, I am sort of fascinated by the racist @ #10 (In the photo essay, not you, venomlash!). "I personally don't like dark skin people-if I met them face to face and if they were dark skin, I would get nasty with them-I just don't like them." She appears to be mixed race. Bizarre.

The rest of these were fantastic, and OMG Scheherazade!

@18, Low-t seems like a pretty reasonable diagnosis in FURFAG's case.
