Copy of my email - first time I've ever been moved to do something like this:

Misters Eldon Franco and Richard Bain Jr.,

I am disgusted to read the artice regarding the young woman kicked of the cheerleading squad due to refusing to say her rapists name. I am not a person who normally would make the effort to contact involved parties to express my feelings and nor am I a victim myself of rape or any other crime but I just can't believe that for one, Rakheem Bolton is still allowed to play basketball, let alone not being suspended from school while under investigation, and two, that this poor girl, who has already been the victim of what I'm assuming for a high school teenager, is a devestating and life changing crime, has been forced to give up something she loves because she refuses to support her rapist.

I am not sure what it is you are trying to teach these young children in Texas, I myself and living in Sydney, Australia but was born and schooled in New Zealand but I know there is NO WAY this type of irresponsiblity and disregard for a student in need would ever occur. You do realise that you're showing these children that it doesn't matter what they do, if they play a big enough part in a school team then they are exempt from punishment.

I am trying to write this in a mature manner but I can't help but be sitting here, typing and shaking my head at the same time just thinking that your logic is fucked.

I feel sorry for the children growing up in your school and you district.
